I can't say for sure I'd do what they want though. If I'm not coughing I am no threat to them, they are welcome to steer clear of me though.

That's literally all I'm asking at this point in the conversation. Just to be respectful that some people in the park might want to use it who otherwise have other health conditions. That's all I'm looking for agreement on that it's the polite thing to do.

Hell, I'd wager more people would display a kindness mindset towards others if these mandates were not a thing. I actually quite often go out of my way to help others.

Lots of people here do not give 2 shits about their fellow man. And I’m not talking about obese people that eat McDonald’s everyday. I’m talking about elderly that have lived healthy lives their whole time on this earth that have compromised immune systems due to old age and people who try to be healthy and look otherwise healthy but have underlying conditions due to genetics despite the exercise and diet in their lives. Veterans who come back from wars with underlying conditions with lung scarring and COPD due to burning plastics inhalation and sand inhalation that can only get a good night’s sleep on a cpap.

The only legitimate way for government to shut down "non essential" businesses would be to pay those businesses to shut down (i.e. it has taken something from them that they are entitled to compensation for).
This "shut down or else" crap is just totalitarian BS, and people are fully justified in resisting it by any means they are willing to exercise.
It may be unwise to resist, but it was unwise to shelter Anne Frank in your attic too. Unwise does not mean unjustified.
As for the 'helicopter money", that is a tool of fiscal policy, it's just what happens when you need to lower interest rates that are already at 0%.
It's BS, but a completely different variety. It is a sign that the economy is coming off the rails, and worrying about it is like worrying that the firemen are tracking mud on the new carpet while they frantically try to put out the fire.

I will agree with the current state of panic, 6 feet should be considered "good manners" and approaching withing that distance should be considered "rude".
But that's as far as I'll go.
People have always had social distance (formerly known as personal space). It has always been considered rude to "invade" someone's personal space (look at how Biden gets pilloried for doing it).
The panic created over this virus has just significantly expanded many people's idea of how large that that space should be.

I agree if you’re going to tell me I can’t visit a state park or severely limit my access I should not have to pay that portion of my taxes.
I take my soN fishing after work at a local state park, I kayak that state park, and my wife and other son will walk/bird watch that state park. If I’m not allowed to visit why pay. I won’t be getting an empire pass this year as I had planned. Fuck them.

I honestly felt the exact same way a month ago. Summary beatings by police on-sight for rule breakers and free tazings or pepper spray for everyone.
Now I don't give a shit. Economy is getting ass-blasted, antibody testing has indicated fatality rate of this illness is magnitudes lower than originally thought. Moreover, a seemingly endless litany of "extensions" on "NY Pause". I've just had enough, seen enough of it.
And another thing; We know that this shit lives about 3 microseconds in sunlight. We also know that warmer, more hymid weather smashes it (as it does lots of viruses). Telling people they cannot go for a hike in the middle of the woods because the parking lot is full is asinine.

I believe in the end everyone will get that virus.... The vast majority of folks dying from it are elderly and have underlying conditions... These folks are the ones that need to take extra measures.

If I am outside hiking or in a park although I certainly don't and won't purposely try to go stand or walk next to or near someone I also purposely won't spend my time strategizing about intentionally avoiding anyone either. No different than always I do my best not to get in anyone's personal space. That's about as far as I'll take it. If that isn't good enough for anyone than they should either stay home or also do the same on their end. This may sound rude to some but this is just the subconscious way I am in public.

I am one of those people.
I care very, very little for my fellow man. I have near zero sympathy and even less empathy. I am not sure where it all went. Been missing from me for a very long time. Sometimes I wish I could find those inner feelings.
The more time in life that goes on, the less I care. The stories of those that refuse to help themselves, refuse to better themselves grow by the day. I cannot care about these people.
The people that have allowed themselves to become lazy, slovenly and pitiful? No, I cannot afford to feel for them.
Junkies, crackheads, and addicts? All by choice and weakness. Nope, no feelings for them either.
I see people that are grossly overweight...100% their fault. Nope, no feeling of helping them.
Those that cannot budget their money them beg for assistance... You know the answer.
