I bought and received my SIG M17

Just went to my guy today and did the background check, and mailed in my license and receipt, should be 100% ready to be in my hands on Friday hopefully!
I’m a little upset with how shitty the finish is on the SIG M17, it’s already marked up somehow, that bothers me… any flash light recommendations? I was attempting to do a trigger pull for the video but I guess the firearm wasn’t cocked, I love the trigger! Also, magazine release and insert is EHHH, nothing near as smooth as my CZP10

Dumped my .45. wanted to standardize calibers as much as possible. Besides, .45 won't shoot through a frying pan.

If these shortages have taught me anything it's that I should diversify my ammo types so I van take advantage of whatever might be available and at a lower price. If I am to pay a buck a round for pistol ammo it mays as well be for 10mm or .357 or .45.

Just get a regular USP .45. Mk23 is a ridiculous gun, always has been. Think is the size and near the weight of a Desert Eagle!

Feels fine to me, I have no problem with the 320 trigger. Shoot it a bunch, it will smooth itself out.
Though at today's ammo prices an aftermarket trigger would be cheaper in the short term.

Here’s my rant list and pros that I wrote to my Facebook today -

So I purchased and I picked up the military’s new side arm; the SIG M17, yesterday I went to the range and put some rounds through it. It’s very mediocre. The thing I like most about it is that it easily racks back and cycles a round, never had a pistol that has done it so easily before, there’s little to no struggle with it but there’s a couple things I really dislike… the trigger pull is nice, but the reset is absolutely trash. It’s extremely gritty. Another thing it’s lacking is stipling on the frame below the slide where you could rest your thumb when you’re properly gripping the firearm, my CZ has the stipling and it’s very comfortable. The ergonomics are mehh, the grip is really thick. I do like the iron sites, but honestly there are better firearms out there that you should get. also the finishing on the firearm is really bad, marks up way too easily and it came in the mail marked up.

Nothing wrong with the VP9.. and in a joking but not so joking way, the VP9 was a gun that HK made so the "poors" can feel like they are also HK people..

It's a solid gun, and again nothing wrong with the vp9 line, but personally I'd take the P30LEM over the VP9 anyday

Hm. The p30lem aligns directly with the vp9 in price from doing quick and dirty research with the USP being approx 100 bucks more. What differentiates the p30 from the vp9 in your view? Again, honest question to formulate an educated decision pre permit/ purchase.
