No, not the recoil. It was the thought that it was over $1 per shot at today's prices and I burned through 4 boxes of slugs.

I’ll be trying to buy some of the price is right and I can find them. I know I’m naive.Years ago post hunting season you could pick them up for $1 a box of 5. Frugal preppers would buy them up like a squirrel collects nuts.
I've been taking my girls to the range with trap shells this year in the 590 and the cruiser.I’ll be trying to buy some of the price is right and I can find them. I know I’m naive.

About to do the same to sight a couple of shotguns in for deer hunting on Long Island. Very much hoping not to have to put more than 3 through each. Six each is my absolute maximum. No, not the recoil. It was the thought that it was over $1 per shot at today's prices and I burned through 4 boxes of slugs.

Ive been seeing and buying .450 Marlin and .450 bushmaster throughout the shortage. Normal prices too.
ya, try 45-70 rounds, they range from $2 to $4 per round, depending on which manufacture you use.
Buffalo Bore, 45-70 magnum Lever gun ammo, 500 gr, 1625 f.p.s, M.E. 2931 Ft lbs, $89.45 = $4.75 per round
Fortunately, I shoot cheap shit, Winchester 300 gr, $2.00+ per round
