Lately it seems that I am finding more and more trash in our state forests. This video is from today, while I was grouse hunting in the Vernooy Kill State Forest. Looks like someone didn't feel ike packing up their camp so they just left it.
Actually I pocked around the tent a little, but didn't find or smell a body, although I expected to. lolAny bodies in the tent?
Call it in to ENCON. I bet they'll be interested.
I thought maybe you stumbled into a den of white supremacists and their fearless leader.....
This is the reason the DEC wants to close down target shooting at the Vernooy Kill State Forest and turn the area used as a rifle range into a parking lot for mountain bikers. Hunters and target shooters have volunteered periodically to clean up the place, but there are always a few who leave their trash behind.People are dicks. I was up in Happy Valley a few years ago hunting. Picked up several grocery bags worth of spent shotgun shells and garbage that was used as targets. We can be our own worst enemy sometimes.
Next time she makes the new will be a report about how she became a crack ho
Wonder if they'll have an undetectable knife buyback program?
That is One of the reasons why I stopped hunting Happy Valley several years ago. Every time we went there ,without fail ,we brought out other peoples trash. Got sick of picking up after slobs.People are dicks. I was up in Happy Valley a few years ago hunting. Some of these people belong to my gun club. They can't police their own hulls/brass. Some that do throw live ammo into the burner barrel. We have met the enemy and he is us.That is One of the reasons why I stopped hunting Happy Valley several years ago. Every time we went there ,without fail ,we brought out other peoples trash. Hi Everyone,
I am the Steward for the Vernooy Kill State Forest area. Morgan Duke Conservation Society has a volunteer stewardship agreement with the DEC to help protect Vernooy Kill State Forest. Few people have signed up to become ongoing volunteer for Vernooy Kill State Forest. If anyone would like to volunteer here is the sign up form.
There are no requirements as to the number of hours, set schedules or how many times per year a volunteer has to help. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
As volunteers in this Program, participants are provided with the same liability and workers= compensation protection as salaried state employees, as long as they are acting within the scope and terms of the Agreement and comply with the Department's guidelines for use of volunteers.
Welcome to Utah! Wide open spaces and plenty of room to dump your old shit, shoot if full of holes and leave it.Lately it seems that I am finding more and more trash in our state forests. People are disgusting. I would say they need education in Leave No Trace but they'd just ignore it anyway.
They have been going through and closing them all over the state and I doubt it’s due to trash being left. There was one by me they closed a year or so ago.The shooting range on Cutler Road, off of Lundy Road, in the Vernooy Kill State Forest, is officially closed to target shooting. The DEC was there today cleaning up all the crap some of you morons left there and they posted a "NO TARGET SHOOTING ALLOWED" sign. So nice that a few morons who insisted on bringing garbage into the area have ruined it for everyone else.
The sign that the DEC posted specified the garbage issue as the reason. They have been going through and closing them all over the state and I doubt it’s due to trash being left. There was one by me they closed a year or so ago.
