LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!Too much information.
That is quite handsome. How much would I need to add to the budget?
What’s its purpose?
$850 is kind of a weird in between budget point for semi automatic shotguns. Low dollar options are largely the domain of Turkish import clones and prior to the inflation explosion $800-$900 could get you into something like an Berretta A300, FN SLP or Mossberg 940. Nowadays if you want something beyond import clones you are looking at well over 1k now. To be honest for what semi auto shotguns cost I don't think it's worth dropping that kind of money to just to scratch an itch. If you really want such an arm to put into the rotation I'd see if you could up your budget into Berretta 1301 territory, I think that is the semi auto shotgun to get. Otherwise stick with pump actions.
A 590A1 will definitely scratch the itch for a tactical style shotgun (I presume that's the track you are taking here) for about 1/3 the cost.
Triple it.That is quite handsome. How much would I need to add to the budget?
Triple it.
Then you need to add on for the carbon fiber mag tube. Then the time to get the red locktite off the original mag tube to switch them out.Whoa.... I gotta pass on that one. I don't work for the government anymore....
$300-600 for import clones stuff which may be decent or may be trash. Around $1,100 for a entry level gun from a first teir manufacturer such as the Berretta A300 and up to $2,000 for something top shelf like a Bennelli M4. $850 is something of a no man's land. That "scratch the itch" thing. That is all it is.
I received back my Red dot from Vortex today and was putting it back on the Sig. Looking in the safe, I realized there were none to be found.
Thought I should get one. Little gun show tomorrow locally and a big one down in Knoxville next weekend. I think I will try to scratch the itch away
Thanks
I liked it better when I was selling guns, I knew more and got great deals.....$300-600 for import clones stuff which may be decent or may be trash. The gun I'd want is the 1301 mod 2 which has all the stuff you'd add aftermarket from the factory but costs about $1,700.
Knoxville is only 4 hours away for me. Can you post or PM me details about that show? That "scratch the itch" thing. That is all it is.

What is the intended purpose of the shotgun? What gauge? It matters more with shotguns than semi auto pistols or semi auto rifles.Hitting up a show in the morning in between the giant yard sale stops.

Haha I went to gunbroker to check prices. 1700 now!Last time I saw a 1301 it was $1100
I can’t speak for the Benelli but the 1301 definitely is the $700 better over the A300Stretching that budget by $300, get a Beretta A300. It's an excellent value. The 1301 and M4 are better shotguns, but are they $1000 better? Maybe for someone who plans to shoot it a whole lot.
