It would have to have a pinned barrel cap and stock. They currently make a California Legal non Survival version that doesn't have those features. I'm sure once this "Survival" version gets out of the prototype phase, they will make a California version that should be good to go for us as well.

They actually have the RDB C which is compliant. The only thing is that it weighs more and has a 20 inch barrel in .223 and a 24 inch barrel in 6.5 Grendal. The Survival version in the video has a 16 inch.

Nutnfancy recommended they replace the pencil thin barrel that heats up quickly and reduces accuracy with a thicker one.
The RDB C comes with a thicker one but it's 20 inches long. A saw and a crown to 16 inches and you can make your 26 inch in length "Survival Rifle."

I have had three kel tecs. All of them unreliable garbage. Others might have had reliable products from them. Just a heads up to anyone considering a thing kel tec. 0 for 3 for me.

No personal experience, but have seen guys at the range using various KT's having problems, and there has been discussion here, I believe, about KT's great innovations, but unreliable design and manufacturing practices.
I hope they get this one up to speed, it looks to be a right handy hunting rifle.
