But they were restricted on where they were allowed to live and work, they had to put enemy soldiers in their homes and have their wives feed them and do their laundry. An election should not just be assumed to be legitimate.
Just like you don’t assume an untested drug is safe.
Just like your employer doesn't just take your word for it that all your lines on your expense report are legitimate. They want receipts.
We don’t just assume that elections will be conducted honestly. There are a lot of rules in place *because* we don't "just trust them". That's why we require poll watchers from both parties for instance.
You have to prove that the election was conducted in an honest manor. Even if it *was* conducted honestly, they can't prove it this time.
They eliminated many of the checks that allowed that proof. Which is why people don't trust the outcome, nor should they.
In short, the burden of proof is on the government to prove they conducted an honest election. If they don't have sufficient proof for that, it doesn't mean we just assume there wasn’t any fraud.

I'm disappointed in His tweets and thinking out loud before thinking about what he is about to say. The media jumps all over the dumb things he says and if not, makes up what he "might" of said. I do not believe it was.
The American people are entitled to an election with robust security measures so that they do not have to "take it on faith" that there was no fraud.
I personally believe there was widespread fraud. I am not claiming to have proof.
I am claiming that there were not sufficient measures in place to ensure that there wasn't fraud.
Imagine an old school election like the original greek ones, where people just drop a pebble in a jar and they count the pebbles at the end.
Now imagine someone says "I saw some guy drop a whole bag in".
It would be impossible to prove aside from the one witness. That doesn’t mean there wasn't fraud.
That does mean that your election was not trustworthy.
How bad would things have to get before you would say "this election isn't legitimate" ?
