Saw this article talking about how they need to remove "illegal" content and "hate speech" from the internet. To me its all insane and I feel like hate speech is bs too. It's just a made up term to keep people from talking about specific topics for fear of being labeled a bigot.

I think it's funny too how they try to paint sites like gab.ai as these safe havens for nazis and what not. Sure there are some people there who may be nazi like but they are far from being the norm. Everyone with any view is welcome but some views may be ignored by more people than others.

I disagree. It’s not about making people feel better.

From what I’ve seen, terms like hate speech are used as a way to diminish a person or group, that holds a conflicting viewpoint from the liberal narrative, in order to justify violence against that group or person. For example, see the whole “punch a nazi” horse shit Antifa keeps touting. Anything goes when the other person is “literally Hitler.”

In fact, the term is so immediately toxic, once accused of it your professional life is essentially over within liberal organizations. Think about that.
