You think carrying a rape or incest baby for 9 months has no effect on the mental health of the woman? There is most definitely a woman healthcare aspect to every pregnancy; even the wanted ones. A 14 year old carrying a baby will destroy her body and mind; and in the case of rape or incest she will be ruined for life.

You kinda just jumped right to the extreme case of a teen being raped and traumatized to make your point when I didn't mention anything remotely close to that.

That's a typical response to just go right to an extreme to play off emotions.

I simply said that it's not a a woman's health issue it's necessary to protect and preserve defenseless living unborn human babies.

I never said anything about rape or whatever.

I AGREE that in circumstances of rape it would be cruel to the mother to be forced to carry a child they didn't want etc. That is a completely different scenario all together. The mother is a surviving victim of sexual assault.

That was a long time ago; but we are discussing the current situation. I am not even sure hospital or doctor assisted abortions were around back then; but if they existed I am not sure if government grants funded it. As late as 1895 the age of sexual consent in Delaware was 7 years old. But now it's older (maybe 16 or 18?) and abortion needs to be available to negate rape and incestuous rape. I'm not of the school that a raped 14 year old girl should be forced to carry a baby to term. I know the religious right has an opposing view to that.

You didn't qualify your statement. You just said there was nothing "woman's healthcare" about abortion. I gave an example where clearly a woman's mental health was affected (due to rape or incest) and that an abortion would be a solution that helped their mental health.

Every year there is a budget. Ever year the DNC, GOP, and Independents have to vote for it. State and Federal budgets work that way too I believe. Every year some budget or another gets passed; and ever year it has social programs. So unless GOP doesn't actually exist; they are half the people voting for these budgets. And it goes up every year. I would like to see the appropriations bills laid out year by year with a vote tally, whether the bill was more money or less money than the year before, if there was a deficit or surplus that year, and would like to see the tally broken out by party. I'm not sure where to look for that though. I found the website Congress posts for it - but I don't see who voted or the money numbers.

The left had control of Congress when Obamcare was past. remember? Not only did they not need one republican vote, they didn't even ask them for any input! Do you remember the Pelosi's, Schumer's and Slaugther's saying "I didn't read it but know it's going to be good for America, or I'll have to read it to know what's in it? These statements were made after these idiots voted for it. They did this for healthcare illegal immigration reform, and sanctuary cities. The dems allow stealing from social security, allowing a rapist to stay in the white house allow a man to illegally wire tap businesses and people on the right, when they are called out they use the bought and paid for media to heard the sheep.
look at every scandal Trump has supposed to have been involved in, everyone has been blown way out of proportion by the left and media, only to fade away for the bullshit story.

I was just correcting the original post where he said thousands of years ago girls were getting pregnant at 14.

Once the baby is born, the mother is legally obligated to support it. If she stops feeding it and it dies she will be prosecuted for instance.

Because she has rights and if you chain her to a bed for 9 months to make sure she doesn't hurt the fetus it's illegal? I don't think they should use abortion as a form of contraception; but rape, incest, risk of life to the mother - those seem like valid reasons to me. I don't believe in any gods; so I developed my view of the whole thing based on the rights of the woman. I don't think the soon-to-be baby has rights until he comes out of the womb. I suspect the bible has a different view of it; but that's not any document I want to look at for guidance.
