This has ZERO chance of going anywhere. On the other hand strengthening already abusive domestic violence laws pushed through by NY republicans will effect gun ownership of a lot of people. This issue IS real. But why talk about that, when you can point to a harmless nutcase in the land of fruits and nuts.
Why don't they just come out and create legislation that says only democrats can win elections. That's what they are trying to do. First they will claim anything they don't like is "fake news" and then shut down the sites.
In Germany after world war 1 an idea took hold the German army was about to win but was sabotaged at the last minute by politicians in the capital. It was referred to as the "stab in the back" and hitler referenced it repeatedly. We have a similar situation now. The democrats keep harping on about how trump stole the election via collusion with russia and fake news. It's not true but clearly they want to keep pushing this narrative. This legislative nonsense is the result. There are bound to be other issues if they keep pushing this idea.

This isn't a national bill, just one for California and companies that operate within. Like silicone Valley companies that many of us likely use and will see being censored.
They are literally attacking our first and second amendment rights and are no longer hiding their intentions to be rid of them and subsequently be rid of us.

We need to do both. I also agree with you about being gullible. Check your own facts and know the truth. Read both sides information and pick out the truth. Understand why someone is lying to you or trying to silence you. Know their goals so we can stop then from reaching their goals.
You didn't address my point how bullshit stories like this are used to divert the anger from the real damage that was done. Most of the guns lost by NY gun owners are lost in connection with domestic disturbances and divorce proceedings. This was already abused and now thanks to NY GOP it will be abused even more, but go ahead and bitch about some moron in California pandering to his base with bullshit bill.

You think us posting here is going to change anything in this state or another? It's not diverting anything. It's also not an article that I saw but rather a link to the bill on California's government page.
Nothing will change if we don't educate our peers on who to vote for and we also need to convince the right people to run for office otherwise we'll get nowhere.
Nothing will change if they will continue to play us. Every successful advocacy group makes both parties compete for their votes, instead of foolishly locking on to one party and being ignored by both.
