Unfortunately no, it is a hex mag 10/30. Once the magazine lock comes in and is installed I can pick it up and bring it to NY.

Yes. Since the safe act part of the law mentions rifle, shotgun, pistol and weapon with detachable magazine. This could fall into the catagory of weapon so I decided to err on the side of caution. Otherwise it is simply considered a firearm, same as my mossberg shotgun.

I have Pmag 10/20 and 10/30’s. The problem is they are all pinned at the bottom so I can remove the floor plate if I need to clear a jam. The 10/30 hex mag has a special follower that limits it to 10 but allows me to remove the floorplate to clear a jam. I could use the 10/10 pmag I have but I prefer the full mag look. With that being said if the hex mag is unreliable I will switch to the 10/10 pmag

Switch to the 10/10. I'm pretty sure the only reason people still buy the reduced capacity hexmags is because of how easy it is to convert it to a full 30.

Just use a mag block from magblock.com. Then it woudl work like the hexmag.

Fwiw my firearms dont malfunction. Yours should not either.....
