Why isn't Jill Stein "protecting the integrity of the vote" in MN, NV or NH? She won those states with less votes than being contested in MI, PA and WI, also NV.
I threw up in my mouth a little.

True.FTFY
Oh I'm sure Castro's own people would staunchly disagree.
Trump should step back and rethink this. If there are irregularities in the ballots chances are it won't be enough to change the outcome, but it would be just the headline he would need to force real reforms like voter ID.
The Democrats are going scorched Earth. If they cannot win, they want to de-legitimize the Trump administration from the very start. What is she hoping to accomplish?
The whole situation presents the perfect opportunity for President Trump to declare that we need to restore confidence to the electoral system in the USA. How?
Well, get Congress to pass a law that he signs that:
1. Mandates that government issued photo ID (THAT PROVES US CITIZENSHIP) such as the enhanced driver's license or non driver ID be required to vote in EVERY ELECTION,- Federal, State, and local,
AND
That the ID be provided to those who cannot afford to pay free of charge when they provide proof of their inability to pay, of course.
2. Mandate the use of paper ballots traceable to the specific voter in the event a vote recount is demanded. So, for example, it can be proved that ballot #XXX was issued to voter XYZ. (This is already done here in NY state.) Allow optical scanning of said paper ballots, with the ballots retained for 30 days after the election results are certified.
3. Disallow early voting. Only allow in person voting to be done on Election Day, AND to further prevent fraud, require each person voting to dip their finger in ink that could not be removed except after 24 hours (remember Iraq?) to further prevent people from repeatedly voting.
4. Make the penalty for voter fraud a mandatory 10 years in prison.
This is essentially a poll tax. It may be disguised as, "it's free!" but they would still have to take the time off of work, find transportation to go to whatever office they need to, etc. It's going to hinder people from actually voting. Why should I have to pay to have a document to vote? If you're going to go with mandatory ID, it shouldn't cost anybody anything (extra).
I'm not so sure I'm a fan of being able to trace who voted for which candidate. That could be pretty scary. Politicians (especially local ones), could make your life more difficult (zoning, permits, etc).
I'm not a huge fan of early voting, but it's impossible for some people to get to the polls on election day. I missed out on voting one year because my work sent me away for business at the last minute. People should be able to file absentee ballots as well. I'm not a fan of inking fingers. Really, if you require government ID, there's no reason for it. There have been reports in other countries of people being harassed for both voting and not voting. Really, it's nobody's business if someone else votes or doesn't vote.
I agree. I'm starting to really worry this will get very nasty. The citizenry cannot let this fly. This is becoming increasingly disturbing at what is going on.
If it is available for free, it is not a poll tax. And government offices that provide ID's can be opened on extra hours in the evening or on a weekend day, so I don't agree that is an issue. Also, it is amazing that the very same people who decry, piss, and moan about having to provide ID to vote, will nevertheless go out and get that ID without complaint because they need it to buy alcohol, enter a building, cash a check, to drive, or for a wide range of other everyday activities.
I can understand your concern, but the fact is, that it is already being done here. When I vote in my district in Erie County, I sign in, and then I am given a numbered paper ballot, and my ballot number is logged as having been given to me. I then scan it in, and the paper ballot is NOT destroyed. So, yes, - a paper trail of who and what I voted for now exists.
I too have missed a couple of votes in the last 40+ years due to having been called out of town at the last minute for work. Now, if there is even a remote chance of that happening, I request an absentee ballot.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Wisconsin has 10 electoral votes. Pennsylvania has 20. Michigan has 16.
If she gets Wisconsin and Michigan, that makes her total at 258. She'd have to change over 10,000 votes in Michigan and over 22,000 votes in Wisconsin and she'll still be short of 270.
She needs PA and for that to happen, over 60,000 votes have to change. That ain't happening.
The very best that could happen is the votes for the 3 states are delayed in which Congress has to vote on whether or not to include them. Even if all 3 states votes aren't included, he will still have more electoral votes then her and still win because then Congress has to vote on who is the winner based on who has more.
Something doesn't sit right though. Trump already won, so what is the point to possibly showing his margin was even bigger? I honestly feel like this is a stall/sabotage effort. Make it so that these three states miss the electoral deadline and it has to go to congress, where Trump has a lot of enemies. Stein might be third party, but she's part of the party.I had another thought about Stein's motivation.
Maybe she knows she can't change the outcome of the election, maybe she would rather see a larger margin for trump. Right now if everyone who voted for her (Stein) had voted for Hillary in those swing states, Hillary would have won. That has to leave a bad taste in her mouth, even if a large number of the people who voted for Stein think Hillary is a crook and would have never voted for her.
