With the confirmation, looking forward, are there any 2A cases soon coming to SCOTUS?
Probably not. The past few years, no good, strong case has been brought.

Can the end of the safe act be near? God I hope so
Was my understanding SCOTUS was passing on cases because chief justice Roberts was unreliable. Thi may change everythingProbably not. The past few years, no good, strong case has been brought.
Or wait for nearly the same suit from California to be heardGotta file a suit and take it through the entire court system.

Never gets old. I wonder what she’s doing at this moment.
@Edwardteach72 mind if I ask what's humourous about the potential end to the safe act?
Unlikely, but hopefully makes his opinion irrelevantI'm hoping she makes roberts take the strap on if he sides with the liberals anymore.
Is there a part two? Do we know her twitter account so we can enjoy tonight’s release?
Gotcha. I may be wrong, been there before too many times, but now the potential to overrule the 9th circuit with the plethora of 2A cases from California pending could by default affect the safe actWell seeing as it was already ruled on and scotus didn't choose to hear the case years ago, it would have to make its way through the courts all over again to even potential be heard by scotus
Ps- not thumbing up the not smart part, IMO, quite the contraryPossibly. Most of the cases I have read, have been rather weak. Well, I am not all that smart, but, that is how I read them.
And typically off topic...
@Edwardteach72 - by chance taking the name of a famous pirate as a screen name? Wild guess here, been meaning to ask...
Rights are things the government *isn’t* allowed to restrict. They can never be something someone had to provide.
So you don't have any rights then.
At this point in history we can certainly say every human has some pretty fundamental natural rights regardless of what a man made paper says.
The rights do not even need to be acknowledged by anyone to be equally valid.
Societies, modern and old, might acknowledge those or not, limit them or not, and most likely are presented along with a series of obligations.
Human species evolved and thrived pretty well with a set of rights and obligations. It is known as the tribe/village system that
we are hardwired for through thousands of years of evolution.
This is a subject of study in the fields of anthropology and neuroscience.
LMAO
CNN isn't carrying the swearing in ceremony for Justice Barrett.
FOX is doing just fine.
