Judge blocks California's high-capacity magazine ban
Too bad the 2nd Circuit didn't feel the same about New York.

Its supposed to, but SCOTUS doesnt have to take anything that less than 4 justices want to hear.Doesn't a circuit split on a fundamental right necessitate a SCOTUS ruling? It would seem this is a clear legal divide that requires clarification.
Where do they come up with these arbitrary mag. cap. limits.
NY ass-holes tried 7 rounds. That number was ruled against in court. So 10rd is still ok? Why, why not 12 or 15 or how about 20rd (the original cap. of the AR-15).
rhetorical question- If 10rds (in there gun-grabber's retarded minds) is safer than 20 or 30rd, isn't 5rds safer than 10 ?
Regarding mags for Semi-auto rifles
They can argue that a 50 or 100rd drum is unusual - fine. But 20rd Magazines are the universal standard.
Magazine changing has become a competitive sport around here, and people are getting really good at it.This is something that many of us were asking during the passage of SAFE Act. I can understand passing laws that make sense, but a Magazine restriction has no sense involved.
I can change mags and shoot the rounds faster than most can shoot using one larger mag.

Anyone who talks about mag cap restrictions slowing down a shooter, or autos being a "hail of bullets" needs to check out a Jerry Miculek video, and remind them that is a 6 shot revolver. This is something that many of us were asking during the passage of SAFE Act. Unless you fix your magazine like most like around here for looks.Magazine changing has become a competitive sport around here, and people are getting really good at it.

You need to be reminded every now and then that it's not just for the looks. Somebody like me- my ar's are not my goto hd weapons. I hate the thorsden stock, and I refuse to spend all the extra money to keep them featureless just to try and please king Andy. This is why I started the T-nut thread at the other forum. Stick it up Cuomos ass for two dollars. When the time comes that I NEED to have detachable mags for the ar, I'll take the 20 seconds to put the standard one back in.Unless you fix your magazine like most like around here for looks.
Same with me. One grip screw. You need to be reminded every now and then that it's not just for the looks. Somebody like me- my ar's are not my goto hd weapons. I actually only know one guy with a detachable 10 rounders. Most have 30 rounds but still change them very quickly.Unless you fix your magazine like most like around here for looks.
Yes, but stocks, spurs, non threaded barrels - they are going to cost you. I'd just assume spend a bit more and buy a mini-14.Same with me. One grip screw.
Exactly! And as a bonus the mini14 handles far better than the abortion resulting from a thorsden AR. Much prefer the mini14 to that abomination any day.Yes, but stocks, spurs, non threaded barrels - they are going to cost you. I'd just assume spend a bit more and buy a mini-14.
Not picking on you, but, "what fight" ?This is great news; not just for the West Coast. This can possibly be a turn around for other laws as well. New York residents can and will use this as guide to fight our horrible laws.
We just need an organization or a group of people in NY that are actually Pro-2A.
High capacity? You mean standard capacity you ass wipes. I hate the term "high capacity."
