You named your rifle after an Egyptian death god? K.Took First place in the Varmint/HB category on Saturday. The weather gave us a break and it was awesome shooting. shooting without a rest is a lot harder than I thought it would be but I scored 26/40 and my closest competition scored 12/40. The 200 yard line was my downfall, it was my first distance and I didn't settle in on a comfortable shooting position until 5 rounds were sent down range. The 2" gong at 100 yards was my best 8/10. Anyway I hope to get the challenge knocked out this weekend. I loaded 200 rounds for Anubis (my Remington 700, 30- '06) last night.
Even have it engraved on the receiver. You named your rifle after an Egyptian death god? K.
@nortatoga I would call the orange good. It is very close and tie goes to the shooter.07/16/17
100 yards off a bench, Caldwell front rest sand bag rear.
Howa 1500 Varmint Supreme 223 rem
Scope Mueller Tactical 8.5 - 25 x 44m
Ammo Fiocchi 40 gr V-max

I score it a 51 if @dsdmmat agrees the Tangerine Orange is a hit? looks to be in the feathers.
I hit all the high point targets then threw the first three 5's on the left but got the last two! View attachment 16010 View attachment 16011
One of these days I might have to actually take these challenges seriously.Yeah, sandbagging. That's what it is.
More likely the Garand is heavy and I am weak. Lmao
Standing offhand with my M1Garand at 100 yards.

no wind, no flinch, I usually fire in a string so I do not put the weapon down between shots. I will load 2 rounds then load 8. Standing offhand without using a sling for the first 5 and seated offhand for the next 5. I have a problem, I don't take my time, the old guys nicknamed me Machine Gun Mike for a reason. LOLThe wind? Or did you flinch?

Realistically It is probably a combo of 1) the gun is not properly sighted in for the load. 2) I am not holding the same place when I depress the trigger. 3) The load is not optimal for the gun (135 grain 47.5 grains IMR 4895, CCI 250 primer, HXP cases). 4) my form is not proper for off hand shooting. 5) I need more practice. 6) I shoot too fast. 7) My eye sight is not that great for irons. 8) The gun is a 2-3MOA gun at best. 9) I am fat and out of shape. Finally, 10) I don't really care and am just there to launch lead down range.
I did hit the bull "dead nuts," though. Second round down the tube. The first round was in 7 ring to the left.
Nice shooting I would say 43. My ruling is the Green is a hit. Number of hits don't count only that it was hit (as long as only 10 rounds were fired at the target).Okay did the strong hand pistol at 10 yards yesterday.
Browning Buckmark ,Bushnell trophy red-dot
Winchester M-22 ammo
Official target shot on 07/23/17
Some hits are very close and the Caddis Green has 2 hits not sure how to score it? So I think with the close ones I have a 41 or a 43?
@dsdmmat you be the judge on the close ones! View attachment 16298
