I call fake. If he sustained a head injury serious enough to result in that much bleeding from the ear:

A - he would have been bleeding from the back of his head also.

B- he would not have been sitting up on the stretcher talking on his cell phone with a mere piece of Kling gauze wrapped on his head.

Seems to have been a staged incident which resulted in no actual injury.

I've rung my bell really hard a few times and never bled from an ear. My son has a serious amount of concussions, is learning-disabled, from a confusing lack of the instinct to break a fall, has bashed the back of his head on pavement, bloodied up the back of his head, but never bled from an ear. An ear bleed from a skull impact is bad and you won't be sitting up any time soon afterwards. This is a fake, in my book. His fall looked weird as well... if you step through the video at .25 speed you can see him extend both his hands rearward while bending his knees, almost like he's lowering himself deliberately. As mentioned earlier in the thread, he doesn't seem to tuck his chin to his chest either, which is instinctive for many people falling backward.

Also, the cross body strap may be concealing something else, but it appears to be a cell phone case to me. And what is the helmet? A weapon? A helmet in the hand with no visible 2 wheeled mode of transport around can reasonably be construed as such, and can leave quite a mark (talking motorcycle helmet here).

This whole thing stinks.

It was said earlier that the DA's office is investigating, an entire investigation will be done. The truth is going to hit some like a ton of bricks!!

It would have been immediately clear to medical personnel that the blood was fake and clearly visible that there were tubes and stuff. If that was the case they would have/ should have immediately released that information to the public, especially with it being the top story on national news and drawing in protestors to the area. If it turns out to be fake and they didn’t release that information they are somewhat responsible for whatever happens today. They are definitely not diffusing the situation.

I forget the wording used for that type of injury but it was described to me as, hmmmmm, I would have thought the fluid would have been clear, not blood, if indeed it was a real, blood usually indicates someone is about to die.

That video is pretty brutal, and again uncalled for. One guy could have stepped out of formation, grabbed the poor old bastard by the arm and escorted him away. Am I going to start rioting over this? No. They were clearing the area, he should not have been there after being told multiple times.
