So, there are claims that Tim of the MAC channel bought these out from under a group of individuals that had made arrangements with FEG to get this batch of SVDs imported on a special order basis, a group buy in other words. It seems Tim got wind of it and intercepted them by offering to buy the lot (or maybe half the lot according to Tim) with cash up front from tge importer. That is a serious dick move.

Absolutely not! These are built from Hungarian spare parts leftover from previous production runs done some time ago. They have no military provenance or historical significance whatsoever and tge configuration had to be diddled around with before ATF approved them for import. It sounds like the price that the 100 original group buyers and their contact with FEG were shooting for was around $3,700. Then Tim from MAC/Copper Custom pulled his shit with the intention of artificially inflating the price. His initial asking price via Copper Custom was $7,500 until he dumped them on gunbroker where they were set upon by wealthy ignoramuses that don't know any better.
These rifles have no intrinsic historical value whatsoever, they are basically parts kit builds. Anybody that pays more for these than a Chinese NDM or especially an authentic Russian SVD is an utter fool.
People are running these prices up with fake bids because Copper customs and Tim are fucking over the original 100 people who were supposed to be getting this SVDs

I 100% support the fire mission, Tim is one of the biggest hypocrites in the whole gun/yt community and I hope this exposes that to more people and also hurts him financially
