I have been known in my lifetime to throw down a protest vote or two. And on occasion, to vote for "the lesser of two evils."

Here? Nope. Biden or Trump? I can't in good conscience vote for either of them. Regardless of if my vote "matters" or not. Fuck em both.

Yep. And because 100 million other people won't either, your candidate can't win.

And PS. There is *no* candidate on the ballot that agrees with all of my principles, and I suspect that goes for almost everyone in the country.

So, once you have accepted that you need to compromise your principles to cast *any* ballot, then the logical conclusion is to cast the ballot that will bring the country most in line with your principles.

Really, in NYS, you have no choices. You can vote for whoever you want and it's irrelevant. It's a placebo to make you feel like you have a say. Here a vote for a libertarian or whoever can make sense, it's not going to affect the outcome and it can make a statement.

But if you live in PA it's another story entirely.

You have no vote in NY, so.you can't waste it.

They will let you show up and submit a ballot, but that's like the kid in the back seat with a plastic steering wheel pretending he's the one driving.

There are places where any vote for anyone *other* than the 2 parties is wasted though.

Now we all lose when Biden relaxes more immigration laws, passed a federal AWB, and increases tariffs for argument’s sake.

Oh there’s layers here.

Now that I think about it a bit, I think part of it is that I’ve always played the outsider. I grew up in a suburban area where Asians outnumbered caucasians by 3:1. I was the only kid in high school who didn’t vote for Ralph Nader and the Green Party when I turned 18, lol, And to my knowledge I think I also may have been the only one proficient with a gun there too (Ricardo the charismatic drug dealer and Chucky the shady fella maybe did). I’ve always had quirky tastes - I like wagons and big 50s Cadillacs when nobody in my age group does. When we got married 10 years ago, we were one of the only interracial couples we saw around. I could go on. But maybe my teen rebellion or something deeper never really left me.

Currently watching the Tucker Carlson show. He is tearing into Kamala Harris. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. His show is rebroadcast later tonight. I recommend you tape it if possible. It's laugh out loud funny.
