A survival rifle needs to be rugged. Every kel Tec I have owned or shot was not. They seem to have good ideas but shit builds. They just recalled sub 2ks because the barrels could rupture.

The fact remains that this ergonomically viable and visually interesting NY compliant option.
The rifle its based on is at least passably good.
One explanation I heard for the no trigger dingus was that the 320 was just a striker fired version of their failed p250 and the triggers are just left over stock that they decided would work in the new p320
That's the most likely explanation. And then SIG's over the top marketing made it into a feature.
