“WKU SGA passes resolution to support reparations for black students! So proud of this school!” Chris Joffrion tweeted.
But others disagreed, arguing that other students would eventually have to foot the bill.

Sooooo, reparations in the form of free college for blacks, who will then all want degrees in what, African American studies? And in the end they get an absolutely worthless degree they didn't pay for. Then they will want more. This is a bad precedent and a bad idea in general.

BTW, I'm at Alfred University for parents visiting weekend. Yesterday during an on campus event there was a HUGE Trump MAGA campaign banner hanging outside a dorm window.

Like I said before:
All 4 of my Grandparents legally immigrated to the U.S. in the very early 1900's, well after the abolishment of slavery. Not that I believe ANYONE should owe, nor anyone else should expect reparations!
Look, it happened, it was terrible, we learned from it, and moved on.... I believe others need to do the same! I don't want to hear from the descendants (incidentally MOST here are not!!) of slaves, that we had no idea what it was like!! Guess what... NEITHER DO THE ACTUAL DESCENDANTS!!

Same here slavery was long gone well before my ancestors ever hit the shores ... If you can proove your relative was owned by a family and that family has amassed a vast fortune from that slave labor, feel free to sue and you IMO you have grounds to win back pay adjusted for today plus interest.

Well back in the day of draft dodgers college was heavily subsidized by government and was not nearly as expensive as it is today. Free college may be hard to,swing but cheaper education is attainable.
