You're right. I'm just saying on the basis that some business manager gets in their head that 1.5 stack, striker-fired 9mms are "so hot right now" that they need to break into that market.

Agree it’s not even nice looking. Kind of weird for their product line but makes sense too right? The 1911 market is slim but the striker fired market is banging right now. Why not get into both but if you’re breaking into the plastic striker fired market at this point it better wow me.

I’m not sure I see how Kimber can wow with a plastic striker fired 11-12 round capacity carry gun. Even if it’s metal framed like the evo. With so many choices, hellcat, P365, shield plus, max9 and G43X in the $400-$600 price range, what would be compelling enough to make me go with Kimber? A 1.5 stack/ double stack micro 9 would have caught my attention.

I agree. That was my point. I’m sure the price point will be higher than the guns you mentioned. I guess we will see in a few days.
Also the other thing is then what’s available in the parts/customization department.
