So I recently shot my brand new Ruger LCP for the first time. The trigger was considerably lighter than my Glock 26 with the Ghost Ranger 4.5 connector. It was light, had a wall, and had a descent reset.

I was amazed at how accurate I was. The guy next to me commented that I must spend a lot of money to be able to shoot an LCP that well. None of my shots were low left like they are when I don't pay attention and just shoot. I suspect this is due to the trigger being lighter.

What can I do to lighten the trigger? I have tried the 3.5 connector in the past and didn't like it because the wall was gone.

Is there anything that I can buy and drop in that'll achieve a lighter trigger while still maintaining a positive reset and a wall?

Few options.. you can order a few different springs (plunger spring, trigger spring, strike spring, not sure exactly all the springs that can change shit. @71velle is the man in that department)

Other option $60 polymer drop in from Overwatch precision (agency arms now has one as well) flat face trigger.. it wont necessarily lower the trigger weight, but the flat face will help with leverage making the trigger feel lighter

Or I think they are $120-150 for the aluminum trigger from both places

I have only tried one aftermarket trigger but I am so blown away by it I'm not sure if I would try something else. I went with this trigger TAC with this connector Glock G43/G42 Minus Connector.

IDK if the coating for the connector makes a difference or not. Another thing to note is this setup keeps all the safeties in tacked. I have heard people playing with the springs to get a light pull, but I have also heard this will effect the safeties.

I would like to try one of the polished plungers. I have heard this can make a big difference.

I will try the Flat Face. The LCP has one. Perhaps that was a factor as well.

That was my bad I grabbed the wrong one. I have made these modifications to a G22. I will be doing them to my EDC a G43 after I get some work done on it.

So your trigger that you linked with any connector of my choice based on the pull it supposedly reduces should be good to go?

I would think so, but for IDK what the frame is classified for a G26. I think it has G19 guts all the way through, but I'm not 100% positive of that.

It does. Everything that fits a 19 will fit a 26.

Yes very much so. Is the upgrade worth 25% of the guns value is the debatable part. For me yes when the funds are available.

I havent used the Overwatch but I have an agency arms trigger, and I have finger fucked an apex trigger and it's a huge improvement over the OEM

@Willjr75 what sights do you have on your Glock? I think the sights, after shooter ability, have the biggest affect on accuracy. That is the difference between my Glock and Walther. The Heinie Straight 8s on the Glock are much more precise than the Trijicon HDs on the PPQ.

I have ameriglo on the front which is the same as a trijicon HD's and a blacked-out rear sight.

As far as lightness in trigger goes, I want to try to get it to be as light as a Ruger LCP. It'll be fully covered in a holster anyways. I wear a one clip holster so whenever I remove my firearm, the holster comes with it. I very rarely remove the actual firearm from the holster itself. The only time I do is when I'm going to shoot it or clean it. This is me below and this is how I unholster when I have to.

Meh nothing wrong with a 4.5lb trigger in a carry gun

Try the Straight 8s, I live those sights way more than the HDs. Unfortunately Heinie doesn't offer a PPQ version. I'd switch immediately if they did.

From adding the trigger and connector I linked above yes I would be 100% ok with it for a defensive gun. I have no clue on what what the trigger pull actually is but it's not that light. I can tell you the upgrade makes it feel like a better trigger, no slop or grittiness, clean even break with a clear reset. It's one of those things its hard to explain until you fire one.

I don't think it's a sight issue. The LCP which I shot very well has no custom sights. They just have standard 1911 type sights. It's definitely the trigger. It was really smooth.
