Ok here it is NYGF Bullet-guy upper and lower DPMS LPK, Grendel Hunter barrel BCG and mid lenght gas system under a Nordic free floating hand guard i have Magpul MOA Rifle stock MIAD grip and trigger gruard in grey theres a no frills scope mount and a Minox 3x9 scope.

Well here we go, I'll be picking this up this weekend. Its going to go onto the new frontier armory side charging upper Ive had sitting in a box for about 6 months now.

I've been slowly building a Grendel this year, nearly done. Alexander lower, Hardened Arms 18" upper, A-2 fixed stock, modified for NYS- a Boar grip, and Northern mock muzzle brake. All that remains is the BCG and charging handle, its on order. As for planned use, NY and FL deer and FL hog hunting, I shouldn't be engaging anything past 300-400 yards. Basically I wanted a light weight, AR type for hunting but with more stopping power than a 5.56mm. Has anyone had any experience with Hardened Arms?
I have the same group buy barrel on a BCM upper, an ALG gandguard and Leupold VX-III 3.5x10 500mm scope. The BCG is Toolcraft nitride and a group buy Monster bolt
I have yet to shoot it yet. I know I know get off my ass and get it done.

Ive decided to be silly and build a compact 6.5g. So ive got a few questions if anyone wants to pitch in.
My first thought was to build a 14.5 and pin 1.5 flash hider on there to keep it legal. However I cannot find anyone who makes a 14.5 anymore. Ive read that faxon, and Alexander arms both made them at some point. And i can find a few custom barrel makers that will do it. But i dont feel like spending that much. I could buy a 16 and have it cut down.
What does seem more popular is the 12, and there are several that make 12.5 barrels.
Is 1 in 8 twist enough for 123 and 130 grain bullets in a 12.5" barrel?
Does anyone know where i can get a 1 in 7.5 or 7 for resonable cost?
Should i just cut a 1 in 8 16" down to 14.5" and be happy?

Economical equine with a Geissele 2 stage, CMMG lower parts, and Magpul furniture. The upper is a New Frontier Armory side charger with a 20" Faxon barrel, Millennium Manufacturing bolt, Toolcraft NiB carrier, ALG hand guard, and VG6 epsilon muzzle brake.
For the optic its just a 4-14 PA FFA mildot in an Aero Precision mount.

I have 2 more Grendel builds in the works. I have an 18" going on now and my 12" barrel will be here by the weekend.
