Don't feel bad. My BIL had a gorgeous '66 GTO convertible, 389 tri-power, that my sister made him sell to buy a home, years ago.You got it.
Nice, my father had that car also!Don't feel bad. My BIL had a gorgeous '66 GTO convertible, 389 tri-power, that my sister made him sell to buy a home, years ago.
To this day, at their house, at their dinner table, I'll bring that up. Ida told her she could kiss my bare ass on Main St.
Oooh... You got a new one!Oldie but a goodie:

2003 Yamaha Kodiak 400, Automatic, 2WD. Warn 3000# winch w/synthetic cable. Less than 50 hours. Garage kept, stellar condition. Original tires, not even weather checked. Since filling the tank last year we have put a grand total of 9.7 miles on it lol.
Try these guys.....http://gadcustomcartridges.com
Yikes! I'm glad I never ended up ordering from them.Sadly, this source seems to suck.

Do you have another suggestion ?
Something I built a few years back due to boredom in the winter. Weight driven anniversary style movement grandfather clock. Not a kit, built from scratch.
Thank you. Shes not my most mechanically involved build, but is my wife's favorite. 8 days run on a rewind, nearly silent as you could hear.That... is frickin' impressive.

All us horologists are low key . I cant wear a watch at would (safety concerns), but also own several mechanical wristwatches .Shame it won’t load for me. I’m a low-key watch nerd, I’d love to see that. I daily wear a mechanical watch
Here’s something I bet is pretty unique:
Memories of growing up in California back when it was more Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime than it was The Internationale.

Always wanted an omega!I wouldn’t even give myself the horologist label. More of an enthusiast. I can brag about having a mechanical watch because I snagged a Seiko SNK805 for $75
When we took a trip to the Johnson space center, I of course had to go out of my way to get this shot:

Hype or not, an Omega moon watch is pretty cool.
Always wanted an omega!
Did a similar thing at Ft. Collins Colorado with a Citizens Blue Angel Atomic watch. Have a photo somewhere of it on my wrist in front of the WWVB atomic transmitter . Old school!
I found out recently he gave it to my brother. He’s such an asshole too. They hate each other so I don’t know why he gave it to him. He doesn’t appreciate it at all. I was talking to him about all the $$ my aunt was stealing from my grandma and he said well I didn’t get much. I said well I got a few lawn tools rakes, shovels, and a few hand tools. He said well all I got was that old gun and for some reason dad told me not to tell anyone he gave it to me. I said that’s because he told me I could have it. That gun is worth good money and I hope he doesn’t do something stupid with it. He takes care if nothing. I was the one that oiled the leather and the gun to keep them in good condition. Also not to be petty but I helped him redo all the plumbing in his basement and I help my dad something no one else does.Be great if you could get that. I have the original holster for this and Mags. this has matching numbers. the German was drawing this on him when he shot him. thats about all he ever told me about being in the war, he never talked about it much.

Thanks. I doubt my brother would. We don’t really get along. I was only over his house because his wife was paying me to do their landscaping. Normally I’d never take money from family but I was there for 12 hours redoing his plumbing and his wife said she’d get us a gift certificate for dinner and a hotel night stay. That was when snow was on the ground and I’m still waiting for it. So this time around I took the cash. He’s only 2 years older than me too. Tis life. My dad gave me other guns in the past so I guess that’s how it goes. I’m only kissed because he doesn’t care about the gun, the historical value of it, won’t care for it, and I was already promised the gun by my dad and grandma. That’s why I hate families and estate things.Dam something like that belongs with you, that would appreciate it and properly take care of it let him know you would love to have it. Who knows he might surprise you one day.
Nice. Does it just look pretty, or do you play?
That’s pretty cool right there.
