Slightly misleading. They didn’t just take it. He applied for the carry permit and then didn’t cooperate with investigators. How did he think he was going to get approved without following the process and submitting the information requested?

If you want to debate the licensing guidelines that is a different discussion. In this case the guy simply didn’t do what was required.You’d be denied too if you submitted your application and didn’t provide references, for example.

If you have to get a permit, then someone can say 'no', and if that's the case then it isn't a right, or at least it's not being treated as one.

Same goes for 'protest permits' and other such nonsense. Either you have a right to do something or you don't. There is no middle ground.

Again you clearly have not read or understood the discussion. Nobody is saying there should be permits required. That has been debunked by reading and comprehending my posts. I have clearly said the constitution grants the abilities. However, that is not the law of the land here. The story is claiming he lost his permit. That is dishonest. He applied for a different type of permit and did so improperly. He didn’t submit a complete application. He should do so. If denied, then we have what this story is claiming to be and we can move the discussion forward. Did he just think his permit would magically issue itself without applying for it?

No. You’re just commenting based on what you think is happening but you didn’t read or didn’t understand what the issue actually is. It’s been said multiple times I think the constitution grants the right to carry a gun. However, that’s not the way it is. You need a permit. You can’t bitch about not having a permit if you didn’t apply for one properly. Why would you think you would magically get a permit if you didn’t submit the required paperwork? A child could understand that. If he wants to carry without a permit, god bless him. If he gets busted he can tell the judge “shall not be infringed”. I don’t think it’s going to work out for him though. He should probably just apply the right way and if he’s denied then we can all be here in agreement that it’s bullshit. As it stands now, that’s not what happened. The headline is misleading. That’s the point.
