There either is or there is not a right to possess a pistol in the home. There is not much room to split hairs and find a way around Heller, except to pretend it does not exist. Dont thank us. You are the one doing the leg work. I'm trying to spread this to anyone and everyone I can think of. I'm going to try and e-mail "The Yankee Marshal" from YouTube granted I'm not a patron of his or anything but he may listen and hopefully if anything mention it like he has been for Washington's I-1639

Here we go again. The Nassau County Police decided that Weinstein made threats to someone in "NY Rising, " revoked his pistol license and then threatened to arrest and prosecute if he didn't get ride of his long guns. No due process, no hearing, secret witness. Weinstein says he didn't threaten anyone. We don't know when, where or to whom supposedly made, what words were said etc. I'm too old to keep this up, but Weinstein is barely getting by living on his disability benefits for his injuries on 9-11. He was Lt. EMT at the World Trade Center when it fell on him. Lucky to have survived. No one else has come forward to represent him pro bono, so here I am. Since Nassau County has been told at least six times by the federal courts to have the "due process" hearings and still refuses, we have asked for 5 million in punitive damages for "wreckless disregard of his federally protected constitutional rights." Attached is the Complaint filed today.

Wow, this is crazy. We'll make sure you regret having audacity to try to keep the Crown honest...

So has the hearing for damages on the original case taken place?

Also, looks like you have a typo in the paragraphs asking for damages: text says "one million dollars ($5,000,000)"

Sounds like they are playing a war of attrition. They think if they just stall long enough you will run out of resources and be forced to give up.

A government agency doing that is abominable, but unfortunately also very common.

It *should* be a major ethics violation for them to even contemplate such a strategy.

Spat, your are right, it is a war of attrition and we have already run out of resources. I'm working pro bono, but we will still have expenses. Weinstein came up with enough money for filing fee and service of process, but when we get to depositions, there will be more expenses. As before, NRA, NYRPA, etc have been no help.

I recently moved from Massachusetts. In that state there is an organisation called Comm2A that fund raises and masterminds various types of gun rights litigation.

Would an organisation like this fit in NY? There would be overlap with the litigation being done by 2AWNY and NYSRPA.

Fixed it for you. NYSRPA isn't doing a damned thing for us on NY.

NRA takes more money out of NY than anywhere else, well, they used to, the way they have ignored us, I'm sure that number has dropped. ThePete does nothing, NOTHING! Screw you ThePete!
