Looking for a new Kydex holster

I have a few from Just Holster It that I actually really like, but after being talked down to for the third time by the owner, I refuse to patronize them any longer. So far, I cannot find any reputable companies that build a holster like they do. We the people holsters has the style I like (really basic, single belt clip, sweat guard, kydex), but they also have very poor reviews and experiences similar to the one I had with Just Holster It.

Suggestions please!

I greatly prefer to use DCC clips on the holster vs the plastic clips.

Pyntek, Mark is a good dude and makes all my kydex holsters.

The one you describe is his “Compact” but he will do whatever you want. If it’s not in stock, lead time is 5-6 weeks but worth it.

Personally I can't say enough good things about N8 Tactical if you're IWB. Their Professional model is single belt clip, suede backed with a polypropylene shell and adjustable cant. Been using them for years.

Looking now. So far Vedder looks like the closest match to what I'm looking for with their LightTuck IWB

I honestly think one kydex holster company product is much the same as the other. That said I do still really like and highly recommend the Blackpoint Tactical Mini Wing IWB holsters.

Yes they are expensive. They are also extremely comfortable and conceal the gun very well. I think they are worth the price.

Low quality kydex (not all kydex is the same) low quality finishing (sharper edges and tool marks).

The thing Vedder does well is marketing. And yes many good reviews. But if you dig deep enough you I'll find people who went and bought higher quality holsters and they will say the same thing.. that they would not recommend Vedder after the switch

I actually bought a Vedder as my first holster (no experience at all with them) and thought it was pretty nice. Then I bought a couple of Safariland holsters and realized the Vedder wasn't so great. No way near as solid for sure.

Alright so I took everyone's advice and removed vedder from the list of considerations.
I have narrowed it down to:
1. JM custom's AIWB holster (even though I carry at 3 o'clock, this is the style I like).


It's probably between the Harry's and Phlster because of their pricing.

Edit: Harry's removed from list due to no posted phone number AND $15 restocking fee if you're not happy. Not going to go through a headache if I don't like it. Phlster also removed from consideration due to again, no phone number...


Looking more and more like Vedder is my best bet. They are the only ones who actually want to help. No phone number on the website is a HUGE red flag for me.

JM custom has a phone number, but don't appear to be much different quality than vedder according to the pictures. Can anyone speak to this?

For what its worth, before I bought the Vedder, I heavily looked at the Bravo Concealment and Tulster holsters.

Unfortunately theres 1001 different companies. Most seem to be good.

If you are going to buy from a subpar company because they list a phone number but not buy from an actual quality company because you couldn't find their phone number then idk dude idk your priorities.

Fuck I had the owner of Harry's hit me up on IG because they saw one of my posts that Phlster used on their IG Stories..

Randomly in my post I mentioned I needed to figure out what holster I wanted to use with my light bearing Enigma...

1st) Phlster saw my post just on the use of # I didn't tag them or @ them... and they decided to use that in their IG Story


2nd) Henry's HolsterCo saw the IG story and took the time to come over to my small ass no nothing IG page and post on my post asking what gun and light I plan on carrying.. after I told them they responded with the two options they suggested, 1st being the Phlster Floodlight (which yes they make for phlster) and then 2nd with their Spark holster




But they don't have a phone number to call

Wait this is a "red flag" I'm sorry that's actually kind of funny. Phlster, Henry's and JM are some of the biggest names in the holster games used by some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. But yea im sure that's probably a red flag as well.


When talking to top SME in the gun industry (not shills) I can tell you that there is a decent number of quality companies that they will list.. Phlster, JM, Henry's (and Tenicor) will be on that list. Vedder will not.. for me that's a real red flag

After my horrible experiences with holsters over the past month and all of the time I've wasted telling another company EXACTLY what I want, and they still messed up, yeah not having a phone number is a sticking point for me.

I'm sorry you don't share that sentiment but customer service is going to be my #1 priority in looking for a new holster. I don't trust companies that won't publicly advertise their headquarters address in addition to their phone number. Call me old school, but nothing makes for a better experience than speaking to a human being over the phone.

That being said, JM custom Kydex has an address and phone number listed on their website so I will likely give them a shout. By your own admittance, this is one of the quality holster makers I should consider.

If you have any other companies to recommend, I'm all ears.
