Last chance to own a Doug Ritter RSK MK1 (Benchmade Griptilian) or a Mini-RSK MK1 (Benchmade Mini Griptilian). They are no longer in production, and once they're sold out they're gone forever.

I personally own an MK1, and just pulled the trigger on a Mini. Great knives built on a great platform.

There is a web site that I belong to that gives great deals on all kinds of products; Benchmade is one of them. Benchmade will no longer give the deals after December 31, I was just looking at this line of knives about the same time you posted this thread. I own three other Benchmades, maybe it is time for one more!

Benchmade recently discontinued their h&k line too. It looks like they only want to sell under the one brand name. Fine with me as long they continue making great knives.

So, excuse the ignorance, but what makes these $130 level of awesome? Blade retention of infinity? Blade made from unobtanium? Half of it goes to his charity?

I'd expect to pay that much for an SOG Bowie or Trident, not a folder. I don't know who Doug Ritter is, so maybe that's half my problem.

Not the same knife as in the link but I just picked up a mini-griptilian today (sort of an impulse buy/X-Mas present to myself). Haven't used it yet but it looks like it's going to be a really nice knife.

Nice. I bought the Mini with the sheepsfoot blade (minus serrations) as one of my Christmas gifts to my father.
