Well I went to the gun center Friday to possibly by myself a birthday present. Saw a lot of different firearms that I like. I really like the new Beretta M9A3. Comes in either tan or black. Any advice, comments or suggestions?
Looking to purchase a new pistol and now I found it.

I was under the impression that the M9A3 could not be purchased in NY due to the threaded barrel?

It has been pinned by the gun center to make it NY legal. God forbid you have threads on a barrel.

Shot my new M9A3 yesterday. Double action is smoother than my GP100 Match Champion. Shoots well.

Zacks. Tan. Traded a Kahr 9mm that was too light for my old hands And a Ruger PC40 that I don't have more than a box of ammunition through. Price was $600 or so with trades.

I am looking at the tan one too. Buffalo Gun Center has it for $999. Did yours come with a pinned thread cover on the barrel?

No, the barrel was plain. Extends about 3/8 inch from the slide. Mine is decocker only.

And if you get the safety model, spend the money to make it decocker only

The decocker only M9A3 functions basically the same as my Kahr CT9 and My Ruger GP100 regarding "safety" so I am comfortable with it.
They offer the M9A3 in a black finish? Ooh, that would be my preference. I wonder if it's a cerakote finish or Beretta's traditional Bruniton finish.
I myself am also totally obsessed with getting a Beretta 92. I want the newest Wilson Combat variation though.

The model 92 isn't as fun with the 10 round mags. I picked up on in '14 when I came back from OEF15. Had to buy the metal kit to replace the plastic piece (safety, trigger, and guide rod). One of these days I will install the kit.
This goes through my mind every time i go to a gun shop....

A friend of mine has a deal with his wife that what ever he spends on a new firearm he has to give her the same amount! But as LUCK would have it he started winning a lot of gun raffles!!
