Anyone have one for sale.

My dad used to have these come and go like water when I was a kid. Never kept a single one since he never thought they would be expensive.

Been wanting one for awhile and figure I should start sniffing for a good deal now before FUAC outlaws semi-autos in January...

Anyone want to get rid of or know a place with a decent price?

I am being hopeful I could find one for no more then $800 but not holding my breath.

Here me out, might take a little time.

1st get you C&R license. ($30 and about 30days I believe)

2nd join cmp club... ($25)

3rd order garand from cmp field grade $650

Sadly I did as well, thinking of getting mine again,

My dad is actual about to get his garand and that's how he got his and they just got a shipment in from Turkey all still US stamped and acceptable prices ie field grade 650

I think CMP is the only place you will find one currently at that price point. Almost everything on auction is 1K + recently , even mixmasters with no collectable value.
You don't need a C&R to order from CMP, even with one it still has to go through an 01 now.

Dont need a c&r but it will help with some of the requirements. I cant remember exactly what, but my dad is getting his garand here soon and was mentioning how the 03 ffl helped with some of the headache of cmp

Do the paperwork for the CMP,,its no big deal just takes some time ! I looked at one last week @ a LGS for $779.00 plus tax so I was looking at around $840 and it had some "issues". Nice but nothing special. The CMP rifles also normally will be nothing special but they will be solid and ready for the range ! Get it done because ya never know what good ole Andy is gonna pull next !

Nope. And they haven't charged mmy credit card yet.

I got an email a while back to order before 12/14 for delivery in time for Christmas, so it should be coming soon.

Buy theugly plastic black guns now while they are sub $400. It 10-15 years you will be sounding like the ak47 crowd....”why pay $900 for an ak? I paid (20 years ago) 275$ For mine.......
