I'm actually curious cause I dont really look up any new models in rando calibers lol
They seem to be slowly filtering their catalog through the Gen 5. Some have already omitted the cutout on the front strap. This irritates me.
Because yours has the cut out? Dont quote me on this (and yea its extra coin) but you may be able to call them for a "warrenty" on the frame, and get an upgraded one without the cut out, or if they say no BUT the new upgraded ones ARE coming without the cut out just do some half ass grip chip and send it in for warranty and a new frame. (Cost is $100 plus shipping there and maybe taxes)
......... You can do that? They'd replace my whole frame? I dunno though. Don't think it would be worth the hassle. With the Pearce basepads it's fine anyways.
I dont know if they would do it because you dont like the cut out and they have ones with no cut out (they might) but yea say you tried to stipple the gun or grip chop or what ever happens to the frame and it's not a manufacturing defect, $100 ship them the frame and fill out 1 of the 2 warranty claims (the other is for a manufacturer defect and cost zero monies) and I believe 2 weeks and you have a brand new frame

This thread reminded me I hadn't harassed S&W in a while. I e-mailed them looking for an update on availability of factory 10-round magazines for 2.0 Compact.
They replied with:
I asked if they were referring the .45 ACP just announced last fall or the 9mm.. and they said 9mm. SOOO hopefully soon.. Haven't seen anything official yet in press releases, not sure what they mean by "recently released a 10 round pistol"..

So there are now (1 year later) factory 10-round mags for the M&P 2.0 Compact. My usual go-to sites (gunmagwarehouse.com, gretcotellc.com) did not have them, so I tried a new one - TheMagShack. I just received them today. (8 days from order to delivery, not bad)

I like the look of the "2.0" mags.. looks sleek. It fits, but I won't be able to try live fire for a week or two. I don't plan to take apart, I'm not very good at putting them back together... (spring pressure - I have two fullsize mags I keep trying to reassemble)

This is good news. Maybe I will be able to see the MP9c 2.0 in local stores now
