Been out of the game so long I've forgotten all the silly rules we have to follow. M1 Carbines good to go or nah?
Its over 50 years old (original ones) so good to go in any configuration, but would need to be registered if there is a bayonet lug...I think.
Easy fix just apply for a driver's license in land as illegal apparently they're all above the lawFUCKIN PATHETIC!!!
Pathetic that someone has to worry about what is and isn't "legal" to an unconstitutional act.
FUAC
Very true just ask Kate SteinleEasy fix just apply for a driver's license in land as illegal apparently they're all above the law
Assault Weapon means ...Yada yada yada
(g) provided, however, that such term does not include:
(vi) any firearm, rifle, or shotgun that was manufactured at least fifty years prior to the current date, but not including replicas thereof that is validly registered pursuant to subdivision sixteen-a of section 400.00 of this chapter;
Was the M1 manufactured over 50 years ago assuming you got a hold of one that isn’t a new or newer replica?
Yes. Not an Assault Weapon. No curio license required either. That isn’t in the penal law.
AWs that are over 50 years old are exempt from the transfer prohibition in the unSafe law. They would still need to be registered though.Officer stompy would disagree.
It is a semi-auto with a detachable mag & bayo lug / = aw in this forsaken gulag.
If I'm still in FUACland when I do my M1, this is my plan.
Scroll down to select barrel band and other options.
Wow, almost $2k for one of those! Yikes.

If the rifle is more than 50 years old, yes. There is a specific exemption in the law for this.So you are saying the window for registration is still open.

In fact, if you look at the state police website right now, they'll let you register your full featured AR today, even though the registration period has officially come and gone. Whether or not it will result in a couple of flash-bangs in your living room and your dog getting shot is yet to be determined.
Colt started selling them commercially in 1964, so they're already out there. In a few years, we will be able to register AR receivers that are 50 years old.
You could if you found one, but why put yourself through all the nonsense and have to register it for a useless bayo lug when you can get one without one and not have to register it?So there's absolutely no way I can get one complete with a bayolug at this point?

You can, but to be legal you'd have to register it.So there's absolutely no way I can get one complete with a bayolug at this point?
