Well a Smith and Wesson with a 3 inch barrel shot 147 gr Hard Cast bullets at a Grizzly in Alaska and killed it with the bullets reaching vitals. Add 13 more inches of barrel to that and it should be fine against black bear.

Well why would it be taken down if that’s all you have? I think as a survival type rifle, it can be a bit more versatile than say a 10/22 which everyone says is a survival standard.
I was thinking about that. While I would not be able to connect it together for putting it into a bag, it would still fit in the bag. It would still have storage in the stock to add a cleaning kit and perhaps another magazine loaded with a different ammo type like hard cast for example. It looks better and seems a bit more ergonomic. It seems that the grip is slanted a little more to be closer to a pistol grip compared to the regular stock.
Thing is, and I realize this pic is for promotional puposes, but who the heck would carry the gun like that anyway? If I have the gun out, it is going to be assembled and ready to use. If I have it broken down, it will be stowed away in my backpack because I either don't need it or I want to keep it concealed.It’s finally here. however it isn’t compatible with the new handguard.

If it were I would build a 5 pound AR pistol with a 7 inch barrel. But since we cannot, a ruger rifle that only weighs one pound more is not too bad of a compromise.
It that blasted safe-act. You gotta love laws that only punish law-abiding people. I was thinking of the kal-Tec 9mm carbine. My brother-in-law from Virginia has one. I hope he gets to keep it.
I’ve got well more than 2K through mine. I’ve owned it for almost a year. I shoot at least 100 rounds a week and I’ve attended 2 defensive Carbine workshops that expended more than 500 each.
