I don't see what's wrong with people not wanting to be persecuted by their government for doing nothing to hurt other people. You shouldn't need a sanctuary city for that.

And it's not a mental illness. That's incorrect. They're not inherently chronically depressed or anxious. They can be just like anyone, and probably more often are due to the obvious, but it doesn't follow that they're ill by definition.

I understand I'm not going to agree on this topic with most people. But any time we're classifying a whole group of people with a large brush, we should take a step back and really give some critical thought regarding this characterization -- whether that's due to their LBGTQ status, race, or some other particular reason they're being grouped that way.

There are nutjobs from all categories of people. No one here is wrong for not wanting to be around loud, obnoxious assholes. But let's not over generalize either.

You watch that video? Someone reported that they spoke in a German accent to one of the council members that voted against this ridiculousness who was Jewish and whose parents were holocaust survivors. They made pig noises to him. In the same sense that liberalism is a mental disorder so to is this. I really don't care if you think they are not chronically depressed or anxious. It checks all of the boxes in my 61 years life experience. Not all possibly, but certainly enough of them. Again, live your life and stop making your life into a spectacle and crying wolf every time your feelings are hurt.

Then these particular people are bad people. Don't paint everyone in the trans community with such a brush. Some people are just jerk offs and insensitive pricks who look for any excuse to act out. Being upset about something and acting like a jerk aren't the same thing, but people continue to equate them.

Remember, we're always going to see or hear the most loud because that's what gets clicks. Do you happen to know or socialise with a lot of trans people outside of the context of seeing them in mass media?

Virtue signalling at its worst. These people are a fraction of a fraction of the population. Why did they become the latest trend? Why not become a sanctuary for left handed lesbian midgets or people with one arm and one leg? The fact an actual city government would waste time on this nonsense is remarkable. I guess all the potholes have been filled and all other problems have been solved so they have time for trivialities.

No. I hang with relatively stable people. If you do I would love you to ask them their thoughts on Bozo the Clown and why their kind of trans never talk out about the bad representation the others give them.

Incorrect. It is STILL a diagnosable mental illness per the DSM-V. Just because you disagree with the diagnosis doesn't make it disappear.

Wrong yet again. The DSM-5 is a guideline for disorders as a whole, not a guide to all things mental illness. ADHD, ASD, and a whole host of things from disabilities to addictions are in there. And they are not all the same thing. Ask a mental health professional with a degree on the topic and years in practice, and they will tell you the same.

A disability or a disorder is not necessarily an illness to be "fixed." They are a type of neurodivergence. Doesn't mean they have to be "celebrated" either.

Now, often because of the divergence you might get someone who is depressed, or anxious, or something else. That often is the case, but not always. Not everyone has issues coping with ASD, ADHD, or gender dysphoria. It can be something they have to adapt to, for sure, but it doesn't necessarily cause them issues.

Also most transgender people don't dress up like drag queens. You realize that's a gross mischaracterization of them, right?

Just going by the video alone, these people in the video are over the rainbow crazy,,, and dangerous!
These are not your Bruce Jenner's just living their lives how they want ( I could care a less). it's their business alone. But this group of mentality I'll people want to force their dementia on the public. No thanks..

This is second time you didn't answer my question. I asked it in another thread. If these are the exception why don't I hear the masses of the trans normies ever say anything about them? I have no problem calling out my fellow Jews that are pro Hamas and continually side with the liberal Democrats. If I saw a group of radicals that were this in your face and were given the spotlight to seemingly represent me I would be speaking out when ever I had a chance that they are not representation of the whole. When a nut job wipes out a school with a gun there are plenty of law abiding gun owners and gun organizations that purposely speak out to get people to understand these are isolated incidents and the majority of gun owners are law abiding. I remember seeing gay groups on line and in media doing just that with the whole wacky pride/pedophile movement making an effort to distance themselves from them yet nothing from the normie trans folks. Maybe there is a movement from the normies. If so it would be great if you could point me in that direction with some links since you seem to have a greater understanding of their plight than I do.

There are trans people on this very forum, for a fact. Active ones in fact. They're just not all out about it given how people act around here.

I remember at least one and we were able to have civilized conversations about many things. Why don't any of them say, "Hey, I live the same lifestyle and those people at that hearing are not the general representation." What about besides this forum. Like I mentioned in my post above. Nothing national, no trans groups that speak out against their fringe? C'mon man, you can do better than that.

Much like politics, the middle gets eaten by both sides of the extreme. It's not surprising. And I can't entirely blame people for not wanting to be vocal for that reason.

Also, who would want to be publicly trans in times like these in more places than they need to be / want to be? I'm sure they already face enough people irrationally criticizing them in their daily lives.

It shouldn't be on trans people per say to defend it solely. The responsibility also lies with the accusing party to justify their accusation. That's also how the law works.

We need to build a wall. A great big, beautiful wall around Worcester. Those militant, wackos in the video are a danger to themselves and others. They are asking to be criticized or worse by their appearance and unhinged actions and should be separated from society for their own sake and safety.
