I think this is similar to what is happening in our country, but they are just further along in the evolution (perhaps "de-evolution" is a better term).
France's core population with their traditional French values has been outnumbered by left wing immigrants and indoctrinated youth. The France as they knew it is rapidly disappearing. The conservatives are pissed, and are of course protesting (as they French love to do).

The French are very proud people and they love their country because they almost lost it. The difference in the USA hates their country and is glad to give it away but that’s starting to change a bit in some situations but not enough now. I know plenty of French people and they love their country, history, and their food.

Nice thing about a "Deadlock" is neither side can get away with fucked up shit.
It's duplicitous how the Left will cry out "millions of people are dying from..." and then tell us how our growth is unsustainable and we must reduce our population by birth rate AND culling the herd....they DO want people to die, but it's the one THEY select....the ones that won't support Communism.
