I share now , and have shared in the past, similar concerns. However perhaps it is time to stop quivering in the shadows. We have held fast in the past, we shall hold fast now. And for some time I have sensed a growing undercurrent, a rejection of the mass media drivel. It is not reported on of course but I do get a sense that the silent majority are tired of this terrible status quo but see this constant call for gun control as part of that staus quo. Perhaps people will begin demanding for other solutions, real, effective soloutions. Modern society's handling of mental illness is woefully inept.

I am so sick and tired of this same old narrative. It's boring and old, but unfortunately at least half this country is fucking sheep that buy into it.
So we need to push our agenda that we end gun free school zones and put armed security in schools, while also allowing teachers to carry once properly trained.

Each and every time there is one of these types of shootings, or the violence that we see in our cities; like Detroit, Chicago and others, every time that innocent victim is killed in our neighborhoods and our communities, proves that the Government CANNOT protect us.
Nearly 20 innocent children died this week in an act of disgusting violence and the "Government" was no where to be found. They were not there to protect the kids. They never are there and they never will be there.
When the innocent are killed on our streets, the Government is nowhere around.
When a home owner is burglarized, the police always show up after. The poor women running in the park after the family dinner that gets raped, where is/was the Government to protect her?
It is NOT the job of the United States Government to protect the individual citizen. If that was the case, every person would be assigned a protector.
Life is dangerous, I will defend what is mine, no assistance is needed!

Whenever I hear a Liberal say, "We need to do something. We need more common sense gun control." I ask them to tell me their proposal, with specifics, so that we can discuss our options. Usually, they get flustered and present absolutely nothing useful. Liberals are fueled by emotion. They have no use for, and no grasp of, facts.
When I hear Liberals speak about curbing "gun violence," I ask them what they mean by "gun violence." They look at me like I'm crazy and huff, "Violence with guns, of course." I tell them that I'm for curbing all kinds of criminal violence regardless of the tool that is used by the criminal. I then ask them if we should ban bats, sticks, hammers, and rocks. They respond with, "What are you talking about?" They are then stunned to hear that more acts of violence, and murder, are committed with blunt objects than with firearms. They simply stomp away secure in their "knowledge" that they are correct in their way of thinking regardless of "my" facts.

There are some veterans who chose teaching as a post military career option. Unfortunately the teaching profession tends to be more populated with idealistic liberals. I was lucky to have had Korean vets as some of my high school teachers.

I don't want someone carrying who does not want to. They will never draw their gun, will never respect it as they should, and will most likely end up being part of the problem.
But let someone who CAN, and IS WILLING, to carry, and I bet the next attempted school shooting is more along the lines of "perp killed trying to shoot school"

Exactly, what they try to twist it into is something that it is not. Teachers should have the choice and if they want to they should seek out the proper training. There are plenty of teachers who are people like us. Regular armed citizens who take personal defense and the defense of loved ones seriously.
But that is not the only answer of course, the answer is to have trained security in schools just like we do countless other businesses, buildings, establishments throughout the country. Why should we not protect our children like we protect our money.
Couple that with upgrading doors and windows with Ballistic capability. Modern materials allow this without making a place feel like a prison. Also more fences and gates to funnel people to certain entrances where there is security, door buzzers, Etc.
And not that I expect kids to understand how the world works and live in reality, but ask them what would make them feel safe. I'm hearing kids talking about wanting security guards in schools too.

I don't agree with you often but I do on this.
Its so obvious to me that the left has a deliberate plan to slowly and methodically take gradual chunks out of what is "acceptable" for us to own. That's why we can't give an inch on any of it.
Refuse to comply with gun legislation. Laws cease to exist in the abscence of compliance.
