I see I never created an intro thread when I first joined the forum, so here it is.

I live in Westchester. I have owned guns for more than 10 years. Started with a Ruger 10-22, then bought a 20 gauge Weatherby SA-08. Last year I sold the 10-22 and stepped up to a Ruger American bolt-action 223. It takes AR mags, which is pretty sweet.

I have been a park ranger, a surveyor, a forester and now I deal with construction.

My hobbies are biking, archery, making stuff with my wood lathe.

I am politically moderate, which means Im a registered Democrat but I have no problem with a border barrier and more border security, but I do support the humane and generous immigration policy. Im pro-choice but do not support late-term abortions. I think New York's gun laws are way too strict, but many other states have laws that are too loose. I support higher taxes for wealthy people but believe in corporate tax rules that encourage more hiring & better benefits.

A proper introduction. You'll find most of us are farther right, so you can expect to receive some grief around here. Problem with other states gun laws is same as anywhere else. Politicians only want to penalize the law abiding for actions of a few instead of dealing with the source problems. Other states start enacting more laws, they'll end up like us, and California with no rights left.

I am only "far right" compared to the absolute lunacy of the left. I lean towards the constitution. Not into the whole right left thingy and putting labels on it. It's relative to the mental illness of the liberal "left." Right vs. wrong, sanity vs. insanity, however you want to term it.

A difference of opinion can be a good thing IMO.

But only if it's productive and opinions are backed up by facts.

And the biggie is any opinion where applicable has to support our Constitution and BOR.
If an opinion doesn't do that. I give that person and their opinion no credibility.
