I was just disappointed to receive your email stating that M1 Carbines will not be offered for sale in NY state.

Its hard enough to be a shooting enthusiast in NY, engaging in constant political battle with our politicians, without having to worry about retailers turning their backs on us.

Unfortunately, despite your past history of offering me great prices and service, since you are refusing to stand by NY'ers, I will be very reluctant to buy from Midway USA in the future.

I get what you're saying but "defeating the anti 2a crowd" doesn't start with bitching about Midway because they don't want to spend the time and money to try and wade through NY's bullshit laws. That will accomplish nothing. To defeat the 2A crowd you have to win in NY first. And since we know that NY is a totally lost cause it seems pointless to be mad at Midway. They're a business being a business.

This does leave you with a few options
1. You can move the hell out of NY (for obvious reasons)
2. You can not spend your money and be mad at Midway which sounds like some will do. This accomplishes nothing. Not even making yourself feel better.
3. You can try to take on NY and change it from within so that companies like Midway don't have to deal with the ridiculous laws. And since we know there is nothing to be done with NY...

Midway has a history of going above and beyond restrictions. After the passage of SAFE act, they stopped selling reloading components to NY. It was still legal to sell ammo, but they wouldn't even sell components (they backpaddled on this, but still......).

If they don’t hear it they don’t know. Midway an chose to not sell the riffle just like GM and Ford can make battery powered cars. I do t agree with midway or battery powered cars so I will not shop at midway and I’ll buy a Toyota Tundra next. I agree with the direction Toyota is going and many others are missing the mark. I’ve never owned a Toyota and only thought about a tundra for a minute last time. I’m 100% set on buying one next.... in 10 years. I’m done with a yo e pushing battery powered vehicles.

There are more than a few companies I won’t patronize because of their stance on things. Starbucks is one of them. My entire family will go and get whatever they want. If I’m there I’m the only one who won’t get an item. My wife finally stopped asking if I want anything.

A better analogy would have been if Midway decided they will heavily market smartgun tech and accessories. There is no law forcing them to do so but they chose to on their own. Again NY chose to be the dumbass here. And again let your money talk if you feel so strongly about it but Midway going out of business (wont because of the forty some odd other free states) is a lose lose. NY is the problem!

There is no law about selling this gun in nys midway simply gave up and they should be punished for doing so. Where will it stop with midway if their customers don’t let them know how they feel?
Also there are laws in some states about so many vehicles being carbon neutral much like gun laws only being restrictive in a few states. NYS and CA are a few pushing or legislating EV’s.
