In Rochester, a bunch of primarily white people flipped and set police cars on fire, and sparked the chaos that consumed the city. The actual protest about Mr. Floyd is something everyone agrees on. There was a lot of support. I saw universal condemnation of the police officers and department involved. Everyone was United there. Now that message and movement has been completely bastardized and turned into anarchy and settling the score with whitey or rich people. What does destroying people's businesses or assaulting random people have to do with holding the Minneapolis police accountable for their actions? Nothing. It just drives a wedge into a huge amount of support that was there for the actual real protesters who are peacefully and legally protesting. That's all ruined now.
Now we have a bunch of people ruining other people's things and destroying other people's property just because they have the opportunity to do so.

I disagree. Completely. Most of us on this forum call out all that we see in the news. We call out bullshit from all angles, regardless of skin color. Many have talk about ole whitey at these rallies, protests and riots.

When I watch the videos on different news sites, all of them have a very common theme. Some want to make excuses, that is fine, excuse the behavior of these animals and the threat to America that they bring.
Maybe some day, we can all have a real conversation in this country about what is truly happening. Maybe we can talk about the true crime rates, the true numbers that are out there for all to see. Maybe we can have and honest discussion of what should be done. More than likely, this conversation will never occur, most are not willing to really be honest.
