He saw Astorino get too close last election. Remove upstate voters and replace them with city lemmings and the FUAC voting block swells while his opposition shrinks.

I've been down a few times in the last couple of years. We have friends near the Va border. Nice there. I like the western part of NC with all the mountains. I don't care for the flat lands.

I've lived in the Western New York area all my life and have had the opportunity to leave once or twice when I was much younger. Always had the opinion that I liked where I lived too much to leave. Made issue with things in other parts of the country with climate, social profile, and other excuses. For the first time in my life I don't look at those issues anymore and am seriously going to start working towards an exit plan. I will say this with no hesitation or misconceptions.....it is solely based on Fuckhead Cuomo, the politicians destruction of our economy, and the relentless taxation and babysitting. FUAC for making me leave my home, my family, and a place I grew up in. I hope you rot in the jail you've built for us.

Some States are better than others. The cost of living is 30% less in Tennessee than in New York, which helps those that are on fixed incomes. NY is among the worst States for taxation, and Tennessee taxes their citizens substantially less. The gun laws are much less stringent in Tennessee, carry permits must be issued, unless there's a serious reason not to issue, and permit wait times are much shorter too. Suppressors and full auto are permitted. No annual vehicle inspections in most counties. No building permits in many counties. Land prices and land taxes are much less too, in most areas. The climate is milder, though there are four seasons, they don't often get sub-zero temperatures, and as a result the growing season is longer.
I can't see staying New York when liberal urban voters and politicians dictate their progressive mandates on Upstate citizens. Sometimes it's best to go where conservative, Constitutional values are appreciated. My current tax dollars support progressive causes throughout the State, why should I condone that while remaining here? NY is currently a progressive Gulag, folks should wake up and seek freedom!
What is the value of freedom? I hear so many excuses about remaining in New York...because of family, jobs, fear of change, etc. Think about how the State is indoctrinating our youth, how more and more regulations are forced upon the common man, how our freedoms are being stripped away, piece by piece. The State government is always increasing its budget, but how does that effect you, except for a larger deduction from your paycheck? Cuomo and his corrupt political minions supposedly spend literally billions of dollars, but where are the results? Each election cycle New York City citizens vote in their favorite politicians, but what does Upstate receive? During the last gubernatorial election Astorino carried most of Upstate, but Cuomo was overwhelmingly elected due to NYC and Long Island. Until NYC and Long Island are separated from the rest of the State; nothing is going to change. So, yup, sometimes its best to move, taste freedom, and live life to the max!

Lower taxes. Decrease regulations. That should be the plan. Not throwing money around at flawed business plans that will fail. Look at the breweries and wineries in the state. Decreased regulation along with tax breaks and.....a booming industry.
I'm gonna start looking out for that.
I do know that in most major cities one can find a "Buffalo Bar" frequented by expats of that neglected city.
