It's called "Freedom" (look it up).
"National Unity for the common good" is always the excuse to abridge the freedoms of a society. The problem is, whose definition of "the common good" do we use? The one where everyone is locked down like they are on house arrest, have their life savings stolen by pampered rich people, told what they can do and when they can do it, or the one where people decide if the risks are worth it for them?
There is nothing funny in what is going on. Your suggesting that people must abide with subjugation, must "bow to their masters" regardless of what is being demanded. I honestly think you would sit there and try to justify jus primae noctis.
you were right earlier in your post. This is quite nauseating. It goes against everything this Country was formed to oppose.
If you want totalitarianism/fascism/whatever-ism then move to that Country and leave ours alone.
You can call it freedom, liberty or whatever you were indoctrinated to believe. In reality this comical purse fight staged by two teams of opportunistic elites is all about their power and advancing their own interests over interests of the populace. They can't even make this bullshit an official platform and have to inject it through the backdoor.
