You likely won’t be able to bring pistols with you. Simply possessing them in the state of Maryland is illegal.
I would look into their permitting process and see what can be done. Talk to an FFL and see if they can hold them for you while the application is in process. You will likely need a receipt or some sort of document from them to move your pistols on your permit. From what I understand Maryland is similar to NYS.

from the way I read it, you need a license in order to purchase, rent or receive a handgun but not for handguns you already own?
