Kyle was not old enough to legally carry the style rifle he had, according to statutes, which say anyone under 18 who "goes armed" with any deadly weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. There is an exception for rifles and shotguns, intended to allow people age 16 and 17 to hunt, could apply.

The style rifle he was carrying is considered a deadly weapon.

This at most is all he will be convicted of. And I doubt that.

Not really. As long as he was legal in his home State.

Illinois law requires anyone who owns any kind of firearm in that state to have a Firearm Owners Identification card, but that is only available to someone 21 or older, or someone with a sponsor who is 21 and eligible for a card. Under the age of 21, a firearm owner can have a legal guardian sponsor him.

Illinois teen Kyle Rittenhouse will not be alone as he faces murder charges related to a shooting Tuesday night during the chaotic rioting that has ripped through Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Attorney Lin Wood has rallied to find the teen the best legal representation he can have.

Wood, who has represented former Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann in his lawsuits against media outlets that smeared him and his Kentucky classmates in relation to an incident at the 2019 March for Life, led a very public charge to find Rittenhouse a good criminal attorney in response to a tweet from Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley, a member of the progressive “squad” of House members. The Massachusetts congresswoman called Rittenhouse a “terrorist.”

Here's a new twist. I dont if its true or not . People are saying that Kyle didnt shoot the red shirt man, it was actually a blue on blue incident. they are making the claim that the person behind redshirt raised his weapon and fired at Kyle, and that it was not kyle saying he shot a man .

Cant really tell much from the video, but redshirt man looks like he was hit near his right temple which would have been possible from where the other man was. retrieval of the bullet would tell the whole story. A massive exit would should have been visible if it were the 223 .

I dont know if any of this is valid , but it looks possible

In this video , a shot is heard before red shirt closes the distance Kyle is still running Red shirt is still 8-10 yards away.., then another 4 shots are heard and red shirt drops. man in black appears to have his right hand raised the whole time. 3 more shots are heard while Kyle is running on other side of cars. It looks like somebody else was firing also. In the very first frame man in helmet appears to have his hand raised in a shooting position A forensic test should tell the story.
