Story to be updated soon with more: Am hearing that several “critical” infra engineering teams at Twitter have completely resigned. “You cannot run Twitter without this team,” one current engineer tells me of one such group. Also, Twitter has shut off badge access to its offices.

Regardless of what people's thoughts are on Elon musk or twitter, it baffles me that this has been front page news at major organizations for the past two weeks every single day..... I'm a dude who yells into a camera. They can put boots on the ground in any area of the United states, talk to CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, elder statesmen around the world... And this is what gets covered. Everyday. Front page, top headline. A micro blogging platform that an eccentric, self described Asperger's billionaire bought. At the end of the day, Twitter is not real life. There is war, inflation, economic havoc unfolding as interest rates slowly creep their way up to where they were a pre-2008 before the meme economy, all sorts of political races going on. It absolutely fucks with my head to see that not only is this in the news but it is literally the front page main story of so many serious outlets every single day. Wtf
In-person behavior between rival men is governed by a threat of having your teeth punched out.
In-person behavior between rival women is governed by a threat of having your reputation destroyed or fabricated.
One of these techniques scales perfectly on the internet. The other, not so much.
If you've ever wondered what the entire world would look like if women ran it, I give you the hellscapes of Twitter and Facebook.
On Twitter? Musk is threatening that control; he's bringing performance based, disagreeable men and women into the company from outside the echo chamber, and mostly ignoring the reputation attacks. It is, in some's eyes, a complete refutation of the feminization of Twitter.
The mass pearl-clutching is exactly what one would expect to see in such case. And that pearl-clutch is exactly what a 25-54YO female oriented news show would put front and center, to sell ads.
