My first real EDC knife

I never really had an interest past a cheapo pocket knife. I did some research and my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 arrived today! My biggest decicion was the color. I like how the camo looks but, thought the black would blend a little better for everyday carry. now I just have to work on that cool flick open.

I think I would prefer the black handle, but I myself don't like coated blades. The coating comes off in time.

My Pacific Salt in black was badly worn, until it went sailing into Lake George.

Be careful with EBay, there are a lot of fakes out there. I ordered directly from Amazon, making sure it was a sold by and shipped from Amazon product. Also went through the videos out there to make sure it's right. If you don't mind a fake, just make sure your not paying more than $35. I hear they usually look pretty good.

I wonder if the H1 steel on that knife bonds poorly to the DLC (?). My Spyderco Military has been hammered daily for several years running and the black is entirely intact.

Excellent, excellent choice sir! The Paramilitary 2 is sex in the hand! Don't worry about the coating, on this knife it is exceptionally tough. I beat on mine quite hard and a quick wipe with an oil rag and it almost looks new again, it won't wear off anytime soon. I've had mine for 4 years now, I'll take some new pics to show the wear when I get home in a couple weeks.
