And here we go again with another one of my longwinded posts..
So first, I added an RMR to my CZ P-07 awhile back, love it, red dots are the future and the future is now. As much as I love my CZ, I keep going back to my G19 for carry. So I have been meaning to move the RMR from the CZ to the 19 (downside is the safety plunger is pressed down by the RMR on the CZ after the milling, so I will probably end up getting that holosun red dot that works with RMR footprint, why because it's cheap and I'll be able to shoot my CZ still) well being the procrastinator that i am i kept putting off getting my 19 done.
Well recently I made a post about finally doing my RMR mount on the 19, but wasnt sure who to go with. Price was all equal, one company did a 1 size fits all mill BUT sighted in the sights and RMR, the other contender did a custom milling but didnt sight in the sights. Neither of those were a deal killer but I liked the idea of both.
Well the other day my buddy showed me Mod-K armory, and they have a "combo" that was RMR cut (turns out it's a custom mill to the specific RMR, and they sight in the irons and RMR before returning) milled out a top window on the slide, ported the barrel, and cerakote all for (thanks stupid cyber monday...) $199 so I added in back up iron sights and that put that package pretty much right on with just the RMR and cerakote and back up sights from the other 2 places
So back on track, called these dudes up cause I couldnt find if I could order the back up sights with the package, they took care of that for me.
Then I started talking to them about their "tuned recoil spring" aka a 15lb gen 3 recoil spring set up for a Gen 4 slide.
Was taking to the dude and asked if it was really needed, he said no the stick recoil spring would work for almost all ammo, but the 15lb spring would guarantee that the blaster would shoot everything reliably from super hot +p ammo to even shooting 147 subsonics, so I said fuck it let's do it.
So recap, my cz looks sad and weird.
My glock should be pretty schweet in a few weeks...
And last, stock photo of their work, only thing I didnt get done was the side windows and serrations
