Honestly, I am all for getting the whole AWB and mag limit bullshit dealt with and thrown out. Even though Heller, Miller and Bruen all address this issue. In light of the fact that some states keep ignoring those rulings, I don't know why the Supreme Court has been dancing around dealing with that issue more directly...

I want you all to be able to own everything you want to. That said, the shit that NYS passes is a NY problem and it shouldn't fall on other states, who actually support the 2nd amendment, to suffer along with NY to correct NYS's wrongs. NYS should be following the rulings of the Supreme Court. The fact that they aren't IS NOT THE REST OF THE COUNTRY'S PROBLEM. It's the people of NYS's problem.

Even if a NY UnSafe Act happened on a National level. I would still want to be in a red state for obvious reasons that I shouldn't have to explain.
There are at least one too many stars on the American flag as far as I'm concerned. It's almost like I don't live in America in a way. We in New York certainly don't get any protection from the courts even when they rule on the side of the Constitution.

This is what so many on here don't get. The rest of the country is NOT like NY. Especially with the amount of 2A awareness today. A lot of state governments are pro 2A and will do what they can to shield their citizens from federal overreach. But this doesn't register in the cucked mind of a NY fudd.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Should federal gun control darken our door, I WOULD MUCH RATHER ENDURE IT IN A GUN FRIENDLY STATE THAN IN FUCKING NY.
But...

I live in a “gun sactuary” town. It only means the locals will not assist the feds in any way( supposedly).
I trust a gun sanctuary in a state like Tennessee far more than a place like NY.
Essentially if you have all levels of local, county and state LEO essentially purposefully ignoring the feds then your problems are simplified.
In a state like ny it gets complicated very quickly and "if/when" you get pulled over or are interacting with some form of LEO you are hoping it's the right one not the wrong one and it's about a 50/50 coin flip here. In a red county in a deep red state you're probably 99.9% going to be good to go as long as a fed boi isn't looking for you.
I often times wonder if this would hypothetically be enough for a civil war. I have some ideas in my head to potentially consider sometime writing a book based on this plot but I'm not sure if I ever will. Essentially a coalition of red states tells the federal government they aren't playing the game anymore and try to form a coalition of states and withdraw their consent to be federally governed either through cessation or another mechanism and then the feds think that's a bad decision and essentially it starts a war between the states 2.0.
