I have loved my Tier one concealed along with an Incog which I would recommend. I might try one of these someday because they have a built in wedge. Annex Appendix Holster

They come with the clips.
They all had clips that didnt meet the back of the holster.
Then I bought a $26 "We The People" kydex which does have a good clip, it stays put, thats why I use it.
He did not show or mention the 3.0 which has NONE of the problems he talks about, not one.
Again, the AG 3.0 has a steel core which is conected to the kydex shell. So its kydex front and steel back, it will never stretch.
Even my 2.0 with no steel is as good as new after 4 years of daily use.
I tried the 3.0 backing that they sent me for free but its TOO firm and rigid.
I will break it in after the 2.0 wears out.
I have been looking but I cannot find any info about all these problems the guy in the videos is talking about.
Just thousands of happy hybred owners.
Dont get me wrong, im no fanboy and ill never buy another hybred....but.....not because of all these non-existent issues.
I just like to be able to take holster on and off easily like with a one clip kydex.
Yea clips are not the best option either, Dot the I is the way to go but that has nothing to do with kydex holsters that has to do with YOUR choice of mounting system.
He didnt show a lot of "hybrid" holsters. No need to mention every single holster company by name when they are all the same concept and thus share the same flaws, oh boy AG put a small sheet of metal in the backing (thus proving the point that that part of the holster is not a good option) but guess what it still doesnt make it a good option especially when you can throw a rock in any direction and find a good quality kydex holster company.
Again I get you are emotionally invested in your purchases (I will put money on it that you have an AG) that doesnt mean they are not supbar

I will not be changing any gear out because of that guy. He makes a lot of generalizations and mistakes opinion for fact.
Like I said above, I like the Alien Gear holsters. I think mine are the 2nd version of the IWB. I like that they provide good retention - I've rolled on the ground, climbed over stuff, run and just about everything but swim with them and never worried about loosing my gun. Additionally, they're comfortable and I can draw and reholster without issue. If they start to wear out or get damaged, I'll get a new one. They might not be everyone's preference, but that doesn't mean they're crap, or that they're dangerous. Different strokes for different folks.
Kydex will wear out too. Part of maintaining your stuff is checking it over and repairing or replacing as necessary.
I'm not a little fella, but if I have to start worrying about moving rolls of fat to get my gun in my holster, I've got some bigger problems going on.
A couple of months ago, I tried a We The People holster. They were having some kind of sale and I got it for about $20 shipped. That one I wasn't a fan of. I don't like the way it positions my gun - it feels like its going to fall out, it doesn't retain the gun well no matter how much I tighten the retention screw, and its not comfortable to wear. I'm not a fan of it and won't recommend it to anyone, but I'm also not going to generalize and say all kydex holsters are dangerous pieces of crap either.
Dont waste your money on a side car, if you want that type go buy from Tier 1 concealed

Just because you bought a cheap kydex holster that clearly wasnt made well you said you arent going to generalize all kydex holsters, well that's good to hear.
But to try and use that as an excuse to put a $30 AG above any other hybrid holster is well dumb, hybrid holsters are subpar, doesnt matter what marketing they have going on to try and change the fact.
The only magical fix to a hybrid holster to put it on the same level as a kydex holster is if instead of leather or neoprene for a backing they used..... kydez..
And you mention kydex wears as well, the difference is it does at a significantly slower rate and can be switched out before something catastrophic happens

Not impossible. I just checked and mine is still keeping a good grip on my gun.
Part of the retention comes from the shape of the outer shell that matches up with the shape of the gun. The other part comes from your body pushing the backing pushing the gun against the shell. If my belt and pants are tight enough to keep my pants from falling down, there's more than enough pressure to insure proper retention.
And this right there just goes to prove why hybrid holsters are subpar

Ok bud... I didn't say anything was better or worse than anything else. I said the Alien Gear holsters I have work for me, that they're comfortable, provide good retention, and I can draw and reholster without any of the issues the fatty in the video had. That's it.

As someone who has used both, I would say that is false. My original crossbreed, Foxx, and one that I made myself from a crossbreed shell with a thicker piece of custom leather that I cut myself would lose that click after use.
Sure your belt holds it in but loosen that belt and the retention is gone.

When I go sit down to drop a deuce, my kydex still holds the gun positively in the holster. It wouldn't do that with a hybrid.If I loosen my belt, my pants are gone too. They're kind of a package deal.

I actually tried that and threw it out. What ended up happening was the holster itself would push my pants down but the belt stayed in place. I don't know if that makes any sense.
I havent tried them yet but did see a few decent reviews on them

After 4 years of use I can hold my AG upside down and shake it and my gun stays put.
There are literally thousands of good reviews for hybred holsters, alot from respected shooters.
Very, very few that mention retention issues.
In those cases its probably a flaw.
Heres the thing, you and I have used these holsters for years with no problem.
Why the fuck does it even matter what a guy who has never used a hybred holster thinks?
We are crazy to ague with someone who only cares about their OPINION.
