Id still recommend an AK
I'm beginning that process now...lol. We'll see how the rest of the build goes but I think I may have caught the AR-building bug. I've heard it's a tough one to get rid of.
Makes sense to me. It's always blown my mind watching people build these guns. I'll stick to my Garands and Enfields.
Well...guess what happened today. I got me a pringles lid and schlitz can shooter!!! I dont know what happened to me.Oh yeah. I've only built one so far and I enjoyed it so much I already have 2 or 3 more in mind and I don't know what to do next. Maybe a .300 Blackout or maybe a full-feature precision bolt-action. And it's not to save money. I can buy a Ruger RPS for about half the cost of building one but the one I custom build for myself would be MINE.
I love my Garand and M1903 Springfield too. And my Mini-14. And a Henry Golden Boy has been near the top of my wish list for too long. But the AR-15 is simply the state-of-the-art of the modern rifle. If you build one, you might just come to appreciate that.
Great rifles aren't just made out of blued steel and checkered hardwood. Sometime they're made out of melted Pringles lids and recycled Schlitz cans.

Don't feed it after midnight. Ever. They multiply rapidly.I'm beginning that process now...lol. We'll see how the rest of the build goes but I think I may have caught the AR-building bug. I've heard it's a tough one to get rid of.
