New AGM Thermal spotter

Here's some short videos and specs of my newest AGM thermal spotter that I purchased after tying their other models last year.
I was impressed with the 160 and 384 unit's so much, that when I found out they were going to have a 2021 model with better specs, I pre ordered one.
For less than $1,300 shipped, this is a deal and a half for a thermal with these specs.
The view through the display is way better than the compressed video.

Seeing how the Sensor Specs are similar to or exact to the Bering Optics Super Hogster you told me to purchase, except for the magnification,,,obviously you know I truly LOVE MY SCOPE.......When you record video with this unit can you record audio too? My Super Hogster doesnt record audio. Not a huge negative but I kind of want to hear the shot go off when the trigger is pulled. My plan is,,,,If I ever shoot anything LoL,,,is to youtube a gun shot sound into my video.

Just an FYI,,,,,,since purchasing the SH and having super great clarity,,,I kind of like to run Black Hot which is what I ran last night. I wish I could test your mono/scanner to see how much I liked it before pulling the trigger or be able to purchase it and send it back if I didnt quite like it.

Was the shed video done at night? Reason I ask is because the sky is kind of lit up during one of the color changes

The video is at night, as I test it how I'm going to use it.
The sky sometimes gets brighter if it's cloudy out and high humidity.
I advised you to get the Super Hog, just like I'm advising you and others to get this monocular.
The Asp 384 is also a good monocular, but it doesn't have the FOV and better display of the 15.
I got mine from Outdoor legacy on a pre order last year.
Only waited two months for it and it was worth the wait.

You can see there's no lag with this unit and his reflection off the door is also very clear and defined.

It would go really well while using your NV scope,,,,, quickly see animals. The only con,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you will end up being tempted to buy a thermal scope

The only real detractor of this thermal, is the internal battery.
It can however be powered by an external power source.
I ran the Asp 384 for over 5 hours in high 30 degree temps and it still had two of three bars left.
I've only had the TM15 out for about two hours straight so far and have never even had the battery level go down one bar.
I don't think your going to find a better deal than the TM15, unless it falls off a truck.

I got home late from work and decided to drive around and scan for critters.
Found some deer at 30-50 yards and took some video with the hot spot feature in different modes.
While I don't like the hot spot feature, I wanted to see what effect it has on battery drain.
With it on, it did drain the battery quicker and it dropped one bar after 1.5 hours of operation.
Without it on, it hasn't dropped any bars after two hours of use.
I liked using hot spot while in black hot mode, in the woods.
It made spotting targets very easy.

This took me by surprise, as the lights were off and I didn't expect to see anyone on the field at 9pm, in the dark.
You can see that the lights must've been turned off just before I got there, as there's still a lot of heat generating from them.

I thought I read somewhere in a post or a message from you that you were looking to head mount this unit. Am I right? If I am, did you come up with a way to do it.

Ive been researching how to do it and from what I have come up with,,,it would be expensive to do.

Ive been researching how to do it and from what I have come up with,,,it would be expensive to do.

Head mounted dual band "predator vision" is the way to go. But it's not cheap.

I charged it for a few mins,,lol and that was before even looking at the manual.

Anyways,,,,here are my thoughts after using it tonight. I messed around with brightness and contrast so I dont know how good the video came out,,,,we shall see,, I will upload it now. I saw no heat signatures though. Like I was hoping,, it is clearer than the Pulsar Axion XM30 I have but it is not as nice as my Super Hogster but I am very much happy with it. Another thing,,,huge difference between the two in field of view. The field of view I love.

So far I only have one Con .......... and its not a huge deal. I dont like how long you have to hold the button down to get the video to start recording. Yes I know that its only like 3-4 seconds but Im figuring with the amount of coyotes Im killing (((())) it would be nice to be able to push the button down and start recording immediately. Actually just having video on it is a plus because I would rather have it on the scope, which I do.

I for sure either need to make something or buy something to mount it some where,,,,either on my head or on my gun tripod. I am probably going to go with that mount you messaged me, which I will post here. Its cheap and I can find a cheap helmet like I told you off Amazon. My fucking arms get tired holding these little light weight mono's up to my eye while moving back and forth. Plus like I said,,,,mounted to your helmet should help prevent a lot of movement.

I will add one more thing for those even considering thermal,,,,dont waste your money on those $500 dollar shit mono's

Here's a short clip of the small deer herd that stays in my fenced in yard overnight. They know where it's safe.
This thing rocks, as even with the misty conditions because of the high humidity, the image is still great.

I received the head mount this morning and it's a nice pc of kit, but I can't use it, as the dovetail adapter to mount it hasn't arrived yet.
It's a very well thought out design, with an Obj lens cover retainer( Mid pic) and the cradle has a cutout( Rt pic), so you can plug the cable in to power it with a external pwr pack or download images without removing it from the cradle.
It's 3D printed, so durability is always questionable about how it'll fare in actual field use and I can't recommend it until I test it.
I have an aversion with helmets, so I use the CRYE precision nightcap for my head mounted NV and thermal use. CRYE is a NY based company.

Im going to say no. Thermal monoculars cant be mounted behind or in front of scopes from what Ive read. Give me a minute though and I will try it.

Thermals cannot be mounted behind a scope, but there are plenty of thermal clip ons, which mount in front of a low power scope.
I had one, but it wasn't heavy caliber rated and traded it for a flir breach.
Bering optics makes a thermal clip on rated for 50bmg and that's on my bucket list.
